My husband and I have stayed at Cheeca about six times within the last four years. This time we traveled with our children and two grandchildren. We had one suite and two guest rooms. The decline of the hotel was very noticeable this time. In our suite, there was only one bathrobe, only one remote for two TVs, no toiletries, no laundry bag and not even a Do Not Disturb tag for the door. None of these are too big a deal, however, when you’re paying over $1600 per night, you should not have to ask for these things. The rooms are a bit outdated, and the cleanliness on the stairs was certainly subpar. A large amount of dead bugs were on the stairs the whole time we were there and were never taken away. It was disgusting. What was very disappointing, was when my husband and I went to breakfast. After waiting 40 minutes for our simple breakfast, we asked what the status was. A waiter went to check and came back and said it would be another five minutes. The hostess came over to tell us that service was slow due to a few big parties. We were only two people. Why should large parties make us have to wait almost an hour to get our food. We wound up leaving without ever receiving our food. There are other nice hotels in the area which we would stay at the next time.

We love the location, only three hours from home. We loved the atmosphere and charm of this beautiful lodge/resort. Staff is all friendly and accommodating. Our second trip back in one year - we are already looking for dates in 2026. Love it!

Great family experience!
We loved our experience at Cheeca Lodge. The resort had everything we needed for our family including our 18 month old. Pool was wonderful and beach was great and also has a small sandbox where our baby could be contained. Camp Cheeca has a lovely little shaded playground and it was fun to walk around the grounds. You never need to leave! Staff was very accommodating when we needed to switch rooms on the last night of our stay. Only downside is the food in all restaurants and in room dining was very subpar, especially for the price. However, they were very accommodating with our sons egg allergy.

What a view!
We loved the hotel. From the minute we drove on site, the entire staff was pleasant. Our rooms were ready when we arrived and were well advised as to the amenities available. The best part of the hotel was the view. We sat outside everyday enjoying the ocean during the day and live music at night. We are so happy with our stay and can’t wait to return!

Beautiful resort with lots of amenities
Beautiful resort with lots of amenities and fun activities. Our vacation was wonderful from start to finish. Helpful staff, great location and very clean,
