On everything you need they are unhelpful and push you away as if politely but not really. Basic thing like - cant give you water , cleaning team unavailable and more

Mar 25, 2026Billing errors and poor service overshadowed stay
Although I had sent several messages in advance requesting a room without a bathtub, upon arrival we were assigned a room with a bathtub. The initial room was already quite small, and we were subsequently moved to an even smaller room with an interior-facing window. As such, the check-in experience was unsatisfactory. In addition, at checkout we were informed that breakfast would be charged to our account. I immediately clarified that we had not consumed any breakfast. The receptionist did not provide any supporting documentation, such as a signed receipt, but nevertheless agreed not to proceed with the charge. However, to my surprise, the breakfast charge appeared on my credit card statement the following day. I sent multiple emails to the hotel seeking clarification and resolution. The only response I received was a reiteration that breakfast had been consumed, again without any supporting documentation. After this, all further communication attempts were ignored. Consequently, I was compelled to initiate a dispute with my credit card company during my vacation in order to resolve the issue. The hotel’s failure to respond adequately or in a timely manner significantly impacted my experience. Eventually, I obtained the director’s contact details through the hotel’s website. She replied stating that she would investigate the matter, and a few days later confirmed that the charge would be reversed, acknowledging it as a mistake. By that point, however, the issue had already been addressed through my credit card company. Overall, the process took over a week to be resolved, largely due to the hotel’s lack of responsiveness.

Mar 23, 2026Great stay at Central Plaza Hotel
We stayed at Central Plaza Hotel and location was phenomenal. Buses and trams right outside. About 250 meters across the bridge to Zurich train station, Coop next to the station, Bahnhofstrasse and Augustinergasse only 15mins walk, and Old Town 100 meters from the hotel. Always felt safe inside (need key card for elevators) and outside the hotel. Reception staff was exceptional, always helpful, professional and friendly, especially Dia. Breakfast was good with hot/cold buffet as well as prep to order - thank you Tanya for a great start every morning. We also enjoyed a good dinner at King’s Cave as well as Central 1 on the lobby. Staying in a suite offered a lot of space. Balcony with views of Old Town and the river was relaxing. Room was clean. Many windows for natural lighting. Bed/pillows comfortable. Bathroom was on the small side. Hot water on point but shower pressure could be increased.

Perfection
Wonderful hotel. Everything was perfect - the early check in, the friendliness of the staff, the beautiful room, the location of the hotel. And Zurich? Who knew it was so beautiful?
