Excellent Hotel, very good location, clean and modern. Big rooms with view on then ocean. Anyway, rhe key of success of this hotel is the staff: from recepcionists, to people at the entrance, to cleaner, to the ones working in the restaurant, everyone very professional, kind and guest oriented. Felicitaciones!

Outstanding Experience Great Staff
This place was fantastic! Outstanding customer service. Everyone greeted you with a smile! From the front desk Andri who always greeted Everone with a huge smile and great customer service to Jennifer who was always so professional and extremely nice to everyone who I saw her work with. While the storm of Mellisa was outside she took time to talk with each customer and prepared great drinks. The gentleman who worked the door made sure each customer stayed dry as the walk to thier transportation. Great Job Hotel Catolinia. You are now my favorite Place to stay in Santo Domingo!

Excellent in every way!!!
I recently stayed at the Catalonia hotel. My visit was spectacular. My room was cleanded daily. The breakfast buffet was great. I was treated very well and was very well informed about the amenities. I would like to give a big thanks to Jessica who helped me immensely. I also want to thank the amazing Rosa for her support. I highly recommend this hotel.

Sep 22, 2025“Cozy Rooms, Lovely Views, Disappointing Restaurant Prices”
Catalonia Hotel Santo Domingo is a very cozy place, with comfortable rooms that offer a spectacular view of the ocean. Waking up to that scenery is definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Breakfast is varied, delicious, and the staff is very attentive, which makes the morning experience truly pleasant. However, there are some downsides: • The prices of food and drinks in the restaurants and the minibar are quite overpriced. • The menu does not include taxes in the listed prices, which leads to an unpleasant surprise when paying the bill. • On one of the days, the breakfast buffet was moved to the hallway due to a private event in the main restaurant. This created a bit of chaos since the service was not as good on that occasion. In conclusion, the hotel is excellent for accommodation, rest, and enjoying the ocean views and breakfast, but I would not recommend having lunch or dinner at the hotel restaurants. Exploring dining options in the city is a much better choice.

STAY HERE
STAY HERE . Our third visit to this hotel and the experience keeps getting better and better. We checked in online to speed up the process and upon checking in we were greeted by Rocio ( RDM ) who took us to our room. Which I cannot say enough of! But I'll try. The room was updated, spotless, extremely clean, and with an ocean view. The bathroom was extremely clean and orderly and all bathroom toiletries were filled. Our stay included the Executive Lounge which includes desserts pastries and too hot dishes as well as two complimentary beers per person. The buffet breakfast in the morning was fantastic! The quality of food is excellent. Try the hot chocolate it is awesome! We would have stayed longer but our schedule only allowed for one night this time but rest assured we will be back and staying at the Hotel Catalonia in Santo Domingo. Last note . The Staff throughout the Hotel were phenomenal ! They are there when you need them and always have a 😁. Especially Rocio , THANK YOU !!!
