  Huge Room Difference but Overall Poor Service & Management

  While the renovated room, night shows, and kids club were excellent, the rest of the experience was not. We had bugs, a bad smell, and a broken AC in two old rooms, and only received a proper room after paying extra. Noise from staff and delivery trucks, along with rude service and poor food, made this a very frustrating stay. It does not make sense to have a delivery truck running for nearly two hours early in the morning right behind guest rooms, with exhaust fumes coming inside, especially while on vacation. Another issue was the outdated and inefficient process at the buffet, where staff repeatedly ask for room numbers and write them down in a notebook, even though guests are already wearing wristbands. This wastes time, feels unprofessional, and reflects poor management practices. Overall, there seems to be a lack of proper planning and guest-focused service, which significantly impacts the experience

  Spectacular Experience ❤️🇲🇽

  Long drive from the airport but had the best experience. This was my second time here and I was just as happy with my experience. The entertainment staff was engaging and incredibly talented. Lupita, Angel, Kevin, Gabby, Queen B, Joseph and literally all of them were phenomenal, hard working amazing people. The bartenders were great too! Alfonso, Alan and Manuel at the pool bar and Carlos at the beach bar made great cocktails and had good recommendations. The location is great for excursions that the staff are happy to help you navigate. I can't wait to come back.

  Poor 10 day getaway at a 4.5 / 5 star resort that should be only rated as 3 star

  We had a 10 day trip booked at the beach side of the Catalonia resort. Once we arrived we quickly realized we did not have access to all of the restaurants that are shown on the description. We were entitled to 4 a la cart during our stay but we're only allowed to book at the Mexican / Italian and American burger restaurant and not any other of the 11 restaurants advertised. We also did not have access to the larger buffet restaurant. The smaller buffet served the same selection of food at lunch and dinner for all 10 days. The resort is dated and in need of some updating. They will try to get you to change your room for $40 American per person per night to 1 of there 3 updated rooms. The resort lacks areas for people at night to gather as there is only 1 small lobby bar and a sports bar to meet at. We have stayed at many resort in the Riviera Maya the past 25 years and this resort is a 3 star at best and would not recommend it to anyone. They are more focused on people upgrading to their executive or privileged levels than providing quality services to all their guests.

  Great time celebrating our anniversary!

  We came for our 25th wedding anniversary and the staff was wonderful! Neldy was so sweet. When we first arrived, she walked us through the resort, and even got us checked in early so we could start celebrating!
