Never go there!!!!!
Awlful, the rooms are so outdated, from the second world war! We had a leak from the bathroom in the living room, so our luggage got wet! There was awlful smell of the bathroom! This is about the room! Food-2/10 almost every day the same, poor Mexican food, there is Italian restaurant and the food there has nothing with the Italian kitchen… there is no coffee in the room, there is no good espresso in the whole complex, even if I want to pay for! The beach is very small and at 08.00 in the morning everything is reserved with towels, so no beach vacation possible! I try to say something good, but I just can’t! This complex is maximum 2 star! It’s more a hostel, than a hotel! Poor animation! Everything was poor! Good that we spent more of the time outside! I spent much more money than my budget, but it is what it is! If you want good vacation, don’t go there! The hotel next to Catalonia beach is Catalonia Yucatan, which is good, friends of ours were there and they spent amazing vacation! I wanted also to be there but the names are equal and I got trapped!

Average resort
Rooms are in need of updating, lock didn’t work on door. Most of the staff are nice but a few who had a bit of an attitude. Selection for reserving restaurants was not good, steak house closed so our only option was the burger place twice as Italian was booked. Coffee is hard to find on this resort and only one cappuccino bar but they will not serve you till 11am. I have been to a lot of resorts in Mexico and this was my least favourite. It’s just average and not worth the amount they are charging

Have fun .
We experienced several issues during our stay. Unfortunately, we had stomach problems after eating at the resort, which led us to avoid dining on property and instead eat at restaurants in Puerto Aventuras. This significantly increased our expenses and reduced the value of the all-inclusive concept. There was also a constant high-pitched noise coming from the toilet in our room, which was very disruptive and uncomfortable. Additionally, the strong odor from the sargassum made the beach unpleasant, and it was not possible to swim in the ocean. Compared to neighboring resorts, the seaweed management here appeared much less effective. When food quality is inconsistent and ocean access is not possible, the overall purpose of staying at an all-inclusive resort is unfortunately lost.

Great location
We booked a 10 day holiday with this resort for a much needed rest and relaxation. Got to the hotel, check in was smooth and staff were absolutely amazing. Got to our room and was pleasantly surprised with the view and the Mexican feel to it. Surprised we didn’t have any face cloths, got them only once the entire trip but the cleanliness every day was great. Pool and beach area pretty awesome, didn’t like that the no reserving pool chairs wasn’t enforced as we would have to hunt for chairs. Surprised not to see any waiters or waitresses for drinks but the amazing staff made up for that when you did get drinks. Biggest complaint we had was the food. Breakfast was good but we ended up going into town for supper every night. The buffet was sub par at best. We were only allowed 3 à la carts and was able to get into 2 which both were fantastic. We also were surprised that there wasn’t much of a lobby bar that was open passed 11. We could get drinks at the sports bar til 10:30 and then would have to go up to the disco. I think if they had the beach bar open til midnight that would have been awesome! I wish we were notified about having to be on the privileged booking to have our fridges stocked with water, beer and pops cause we would have absolutely taken that option! All in all we had a great time, company and staff made the experience for sure. I know reviews are tough to judge but it’s what you make of the vacation and we made it the best one yet!
