First off, Mexico is a fantastic destination with so much to do and see - if you haven’t been it’s worth it. The Catalonia hotels here are just what we were hoping for. The adults only at Tulum is well set out, with staff who take the time to make you feel welcome everywhere, but we stayed at the Playa Maroma this time as the kids came with us. The Playa Maroma is a fantastic hotel a little bigger to cater for families but this doesn’t impact on the feel of the place at all - the staff are all excellent, from Humberto and Juan who run the Bikini Bites crêperie to Jesus (easily the best omelette chef in town!) in the buffet restaurant - it’s impossible to name check them all, but they all deserve it. The entertainment team, local Mexicans, French, and Italian are fantastic - from aquagym, pool games, to the evening shows we can’t fault any of them - professional, but most importantly genuinely friendly and focused on making your time here enjoyable (and with the free Spanish lessons - educational as well!) There are others (so sorry for not getting all of them here!) but thank you to Karla, Maite, (snake hips) Vinci, Leo, Patricio, Daniel, Fernanda, Oscar, Ewel, Sully, Margot, Eduardo! We can’t wait to come back soon!

Javier in the Mexican restaurant served us and was an absolute gentleman every time we came he truly was one of the nicest people we encountered at all the restaurants

Loved this resort Loved the atmosphere Loved how quiet and calm everything was The food was amazing. The perfect amount of selection without overdoing it. Servers were 5 starts. Noe extended help in getting our daughters stainless steel plates cleans for us. Amazing
