  Great trip to Costa Mujures

  We stayed at Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres during the first week of December 2025 and had a great experience. We booked a private van for our return transportation so we could go directly to the resort without multiple stops, and I highly recommend doing the same it made the arrival so much easier. The resort itself was extremely clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly, helpful, and consistently made our stay feel relaxed. Check‑in was fast and smooth, which was a pleasant surprise compared to other resorts we’ve visited. The entertainment team was another highlight of our stay, especially Francisco (“Funny Frankenstein”). He went out of his way every day to engage with the kids in our group, getting them involved in pool games, dancing, and activities they’re still talking about. His energy and genuine interest in making sure everyone had fun really stood out. The food throughout the week was good, though not necessarily the highlight of the trip. There were a couple of days when the food trucks were closed, which disappointed the kids, but we always found something tasty without much trouble. The beach is one of the best I’ve experienced at a resort — wide, clean, and usually very calm. We did have two days with bigger waves, but honestly, we enjoyed that too. One thing to note is that the room category and bracelet color do come with certain perks or limitations. We traveled with three families, and because of a last‑minute booking, we weren’t all able to book the same level. The price difference was under $1000 CAD, but it did affect things like access to one of the beach bars and where we were seated in some restaurants depending on who made the reservation. It wasn’t a major issue, but it wasn’t something we noticed in the booking details beforehand. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return.

  Lobby Bar Exception Service with Job

  Our best experience was with Job at the lobby bar, who would greet us with a smile and positive experience each and every morning during our daily espresso and americano run. Job lead his team of Maria and Orlando who also seemed to be trained by Job. While the overall experience at the resort was average, Job and his team were a pleasure to visit each and every morning during our stay, in addition to being informative and knowledgeable with all questions and requests.

  5th Visit - Always amazing!

  My family spent its 5th visit, 3rd Xmas at this amazing resort. Food, entertainment, cleanliness is next to none. Special thanks for enhancing our experience to Fabricio of the entertainment team and the Beloved restaurant team of Miguel, Wendy, Julio, Uriel and Gustavo. Looking forward to next visit!

  Beautiful Family Resort with a Few Things to Note

  We just returned from a relaxing 5-day stay at Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres, and overall we had a good experience. We stayed in Building 1, facing the active pool, with a partial ocean view. The pool noise wasn’t an issue at all! In fact, we loved being able to cool off in our room while still enjoying the atmosphere from our balcony. Being on the second floor gave us a larger balcony above the swim-ups, which was a big plus! The staff were outstanding!! Kind, attentive, and especially helpful with our 1-year-old daughter. Housekeeping was the best we’ve ever experienced at a resort. The room uses a button system to request cleaning, which was incredibly convenient and efficient. This is truly a family-focused resort, which we loved. There’s a kids’ pool and kids’ club (we didn’t use it due to our daughter’s age), and the overall atmosphere is very welcoming for families. That said, for a 5-star resort, there were a few drawbacks: -- Balcony lights are automatically turned on at night and can’t be switched off until 11 p.m. Even with blackout curtains, light came into the room and affected our sleep. -- Lunch options were limited if you wanted something quick by the pool. The lunch buffet was just okay, and during our stay (Dec 18–23), the kids’ section was never set up at lunch (dinner it was). No one got sick, which is important!! But we did expect more variety at the buffet -- The coffee shop was excellent, but lines were very long and often staffed by only one barista. Also, many doors aren’t stroller-friendly. -- ** One day our pool towels were removed while we went to eat and cool off for about an hour, and replacing them was more difficult than it should have been as we had to "exchange them". I had to explain they were taking from us. -- ** We had an uncomfortable experience at the Italian restaurant. While still eating, we were given a survey and strongly pressured to complete it, despite having a baby. I eventually filled it out honestly. Later, we received a phone call in our room asking why I gave certain feedback. This made me extremely uncomfortable. I don’t feel guests should be questioned about their opinions while still on vacation or contacted in their room over survey responses. -- We’re experienced travelers, so the sales pitch didn’t bother us. We shut it down quickly and had no further issues. However, the salesperson offered to escort us to our room but left us in the middle of the resort once we declined. It was our first time there, and we had no idea where to go. A maintenance staff member ended up helping us. Overall, this is a beautiful, well-maintained family resort with amazing staff and many peaceful spaces to relax. We would recommend it to families!! Just be aware of the points above and be prepared for mosquitoes at night.

  Excellent resort

  Nice beach. Nice hotel. One of the best resorts we stayed at. Rooms are very clean. Food was great. Staff are nice and helpful. Hotel is new and very clean. Nagai at the reception was super nice.I recommend this hotel 100%>
