Best Pina Colada around
I have been visiting the Caribe Hotel off and on for over two decades. The accommodations are just what you need, clean rooms and solid bedding with a slider to a view. What separates this place is the beautiful pool and the lagoon. All of the options at the pool between hot tubs and hammocks and day beds are just beautiful. However what makes me coming back year after year is the service I get. Most specifically from bartender Hiram Avilai. The gentleman never stops moving and he always has a smile on his face. He goes above and beyond even when he is slammed and takes the time to make sure you have what you need. In a quiet moment he even recommended some places to take a day trip when my wife and I asked. It almost goes without saying that he can make a tremendous cocktail, especially a Pina Colada. Looking forward to my trip back to the Caribe again this October.

Swim Right Up!
This was our second time staying at the Caribe Hilton and we were ecstatic to see Hiram Auila, our bartender at the swim up bar from the previous year! Hiram is extra attentive to all of his clients at the bar and seems like he enjoys the being there with you! The rest of bar staff was as great as well. We would know after spending two rainy days sitting at the swim up bar - which thankfully made it so the weather didn’t bring down our trip. Can’t wait to see you next year Hiram!

Over rated
The good was the staff they all work very hard for the most part. The people are very friendly and the Uber drivers were very informative. Everything at the hotel is VERY EXPENSIVE! Some examples basic breakfast of eggs toast, bacon or ham or sausage and coffee $22, the breakfast buffet was $34. At the restaurant across the street $13 plus tip for 2 eggs choice of bacon , ham or sausage toast and coffee. 1 bottle of beer at the bar is over $9 with tip, across the street I bought 6 for under $18. The picture of the beach on the web site, is taken with a lens that exaggerates not only the size of this beach but the CLEANLINESS the beach is a mess, between sea weed, plastic bottles, water, milk, and empty 1 gallon oil jugs, caps off of water bottles, straws and excuse me but tampon dispensers really. Several floating coconuts, logs, and other debris. This stuff was washing up on the beach all day long, while staff stood around doing nothing. Next was the nonsense of every time you went down to the pool or beach they HAD to scan your wrist band (PROVIDED BY THE HOTEL) to prove you were a guest, did I mention you wore a hotel provided wrist band. Twice I had to bang my stainless steel water bottle on the counter to prove it wasn't GLASS. Sorry Caribe Hilton hotel but for a place that spent $100 million dollars to renovate after Marie, and reopened in May of 2019, I don't know where the money was spent broken tiles on the floors the ladder from the pool to the hot tubs is split on both sides of the hand rail so I will tell you to be very careful or you will get your hand pinched in these cracks or the ladder is going to break. So my overall review of this hotel is this OVER PRICED FOR A RUN DOWN HOTEL. WOULD I GO BACKHELL NO

Beware of Scams!
We carefully chose the Caribe Hilton for our stay based upon reviews. We arrived the day before our cruise and were excited to get checked into our room to freshen up before our dinner reservation. Friends had recommended a local restaurant and never having been to Puerto Rico before we were looking forward to some really great food. There was a line of about 5 people infront of us when we arrived that afternoon and two people checking in guests. It took 1 1/2 hours standing in an unairconditioned line getting bitten by mosquitos to check in? How is this possible? Great question. Once we got to the front of the line we were checked in within 5 minutes. It makes absolutely no sense to us either. We missed our dinner reservation because of this incredibly long wait too. The next day we took a stroll around the property to see what amenities we were getting in the mandatory resort fee. We were given a card when we checked in that listed them. One such perk was a discount at one of their resort shops. We purchased a couple of gifts for friends back home and when we went to check out were told by the woman at the register that the discount didn't exist anymore? We went ahead and paid and then went and stood in line at the front desk to find out what was going on. About 20 minutes later the front desk attendant told us that the woman at the shop was calling her manager and to go back and see her. The hotel told her that they had to honor the discount. We waited about 30 minutes and then headed back to the shop. The woman had not called her manager and acted all confused. Beware everyone of Scams! This was a very expensive hotel and certainly not the experience we had hoped for. The grounds were okay, the room was okay, the service absolutely terrible.

Property needs a facelift some TLC- rusted walls exposed pipes on the beach
I hove been staying at the Caribe Hilton for over 40 years. The property needs a serious facelift as well as the beach. broken showers, pipes running through the sand area of the beach. Needs. a serious paint job. People were sneaking in from area next door and no one around to stop them.
