Not bad hotel but won't return
We had an awesome vacation overall and definitely had a lot of fun. The resort itself was okay, but there were a few things that stood out. The hotel is quite large, and we were placed in a section across the street, which meant a bit of a walk to the main areas. We were surprised they would put two women so far away from everything. Each room was given a small bottle of water to refill, which we did. However, on the morning of our excursion, we noticed our bottles had been taken by housekeeping. We mentioned this at the front desk, but they weren’t very helpful. We asked for two bottles to take with us and were told they didn’t have any. We then asked if some could be placed in our room, but when we returned from our excursion, there was still no water. We had to go back to the front desk again (with different staff) before finally being given two bottles. It was frustrating. The hotel was very quiet, with limited entertainment—mainly pool aerobics during the day, and karaoke or a Disney show in the evening. On Friday and Saturday nights, there were two weddings, and although the music was great, it was reserved for those events and guests couldn’t join in. It would have been nice to have that kind of atmosphere and dancing available every night. The snack bar closed at 5 p.m., so there was no food options after the buffet closed or late at night, especially if you returned late. Room service was only available until midnight, which was also limiting. The main buffet was okay with limited choices and veryrepetitive, but we certainly didn’t go hungry. The Oriental and Surf & Turf à la carte restaurants were very good and definitely a highlight. The lobby bar closed at 12:30 a.m. and didn’t reopen until noon, and there wasn’t much nightly entertainment. There were also not many beach chairs, and most of the palapas were at sand level due to a recent storm that had shifted the sand significantly. Mother nature! On the positive side, we went into Puerto Vallarta and the Malecón a couple of times and had a lovely time. We felt very safe and met some really nice people. We also went on an excursion with ATVing and zip-lining at the location where Predator was filmed—such an awesome experience! Even though we had a great time overall, we wouldn’t return to this hotel.

All inclusive included cartel fires !
We were there during the cartel incident so it was not the norm . Arrived Friday , Saturday was great , Sunday afternoon we were sent to our rooms to await further info - we received no further info at all from hotel , understand they had not had this happen but they need to sort out some protocols ! Staff was wonderful throughout , rooms were clean , pools and grounds clean We were unable to swim at beach due to sand that had come in. Food was bit repetitive , al a cartes were great , The staff is what sells this place so I wouldn’t go back !

Great!
We dined in the Italian restaurant at the resort. Overall it was a good experience our waiter was named David and he provided great service.
- AdvisoryWe’re happy to share that several dining venues and common areas in the **Beach section** have reopened post-weather disruptions. Services now available include the Pescador Buffet Restaurant, Peces Snack Bar, Redes Bar, Lobby Bar, and pools (with limited cocktails). The **Mountain section** offers the Cevichería and specialty restaurants (reservation required). Beach-section room relocations remain paused, but we’re working to restore this soon.
