Dec 09, 2025Poorly trained staff at reception and cockroaches in bathroom
First time I see cockroaches in a bedroom of a "top" hotel... Your staff at reception couldn't handle the payment of the room with Apple Pay, instead of making the process simple he asked me to wait one more hour for the finance department. Really poor attitude when I called for the manager... Also you can hear really loudly when bedroom above flushes the bathroom.

This hotel is something of a landmark for its architecture (by renowned architect Ricardo Legorreta) and its history (built for the 1968 Olympic games). It feels massive, with wide and long corridors, and its distinctive colors are beautiful and very Mexican. I'm told that much of the hotel has remained unchanged, maintaining its original style and character, but it doesn't feel "old"; everything is clean, well maintained, and functional. During our stay, the staff gave excellent service, and the room was very comfortable (a comfortable bed and pillows, very good air conditioning/heating, etc.). The location is also very good. I'd stay there again.

Charming Vibes
Here’s the revised version: Camino Real Polanco was a treasure. From the moment we arrived, the colors and the Noguchi fountain were stunning. The open lobby had a real Christmas tree that made the whole space smell like pine—it was festive and welcoming. The staff were kind and helpful, and our room was spotless every day. The pool was heated and the perfect temperature to jump right in. The location next to Chapultepec Park was perfect. There are several restaurants in the hotel, but we only used room service once for breakfast on our way home. The fruit, yogurt, and pastries were delicious.It’s a perfect home base to explore CDMX.

Applause for the service and dedication
Erick in the concierge was remarkably helpful. Jesus in the Club lounge was able to meet all the needs of 9 people including 3 children, making everyone happy. The concierge was able to help facilitate an emergency doctor in the middle of the night. Truly wonderful experience

Camino Real México Polanco México city. The place to stay
Amazing trip. Amazing service at the 5th floor reception by Lorri and 5th floor lounge by Luis and Jesus. Lorri was kind, professional, resourceful, efficient , welcoming, and accommodating. On the lounge, Luis and Jesus were also amazingly friendly, accommodating, efficient , kind and made us feel at home. The hotel was beautiful, the rooms were great, the pool was heated and inviting, the food was delicious, the hotel taxi service was outstanding, the location was centrally located and near everything you want to see. In summary, I highly recommend the Camino Real Polanco
