Fine Place to Gamble, but Without New Orleans Eye Candy
The casino is bright and spacious - not too loud for us older folks and best of all completely smoke-free. There are a variety of places to eat. We had an amazing meal at Nina's Creole Cottage! There's just one thing missing - New Orleans!!! Harrah's was full of Blain Kern (the artist that creates most of the Mardi Gras floats) creations - gigantic alligators and mermaids - even a pirate ship. And every hour a second line band would parade through the place playing music. That's all gone and this Caesar's could be anywhere instead of the most romantic and magical place in the country!!!

The staff are amazing, and are there to make your experience unforgettable
We stayed at the Poydras street location, but that address does not come up for review. My wife and I were there for a weeks vacation and cannot say enough great things about the staff. Tim, the Assistant Manager went above and beyond to help us with a 3rd party reservation error, saving our sanity and our vacation. Thank you Tim! You are a rock star! Dwayne and Claudia at the Concierge desk were attentive, responsive, and provided stellar assistance, from booking tours to recommendations. They marked off on the map where the best food could be found, and provided guidance for where the best areas for walking were. Follow their tour advice! You will have a blast! Madison at the front dest was always cheerful and helpful, offering bottled water when she saw us walk in from a long day walking around the Quarter. The hotel is beautiful, and walkable to everywhere you want to go in the quarter. It was an 9 minute walk to the aquarium, 8 minutes to Bourbon and a 20 minute walk to Jackson square. We bought a Jazzy pass and only used it a couple of times the entire week, despite trolly stops being one block away. The Grand Isle restaurant is attached to the hotel across the courtyard, and is the perfect place for dinner if you check in in the late afternoon/early evening. The food was beyond compare (get the crawfish hushpuppies and the award winning po boy!) The room was comfortable and spacious, the tub filled lightning fast and fit 2, while the shower stall had amazing pressure and consistent hot water. I wish I could have brought the bed home with me. You do need to ask for bottled water at the front desk, and housekeeping is only by request, but this is explained on the website and when you check in. If you get the chance, stay here. The hotel is terrific, but the people who work there will really make you feel like somebody special.

Problematic Check-In and Inappropriate Charges to Credit Card
Stayed at hotel and encountered 1 person working at check-in desk who had no issues sharing that this is how she is left frequently to work. She became frustrated with the line growing and since we were a group of 11 she told us we had to step aside but not before making a list of our names. When we came back to get checked in on the list was a name that did not belong with our group and she had to mark it off. Well that error on her part (which would not have happened had she just finished checking us in initially) resulted in this person's hotel being charged to my credit card. Well after multiple phone calls and email to Caesars billing it is left as my problem to manage. I have never had a hotel not research issues such as this and make sure to correct their errors. Highly encourage anyone checking in at this hotel to not let them dismiss you from the desk while they help others. I am still trying to manage this mess.

I’ve always experienced professional staff and cleanliness through out the hotel
Top-notch service, luxury all the way, I wanted to take the bed along with bedding home with me. Truly one of New Orleans better hotel establishments I would most definitely recommend this place to everyone when asked where should they stay when visiting this great city

Caesar Harrah's hotel
Believe the reviews that have been written. It's an old hotel and dirty. Carpets in hallways dirty and with stains, Curtains in room also with stains. I left everything in my suit case didnt take anything out. You have to request room service it's not something done on a regular basis. Stayed during ANCC Nursing Magnet conference. The only thing positive I will say is that the bed and pillow was very comfortable. Be careful when booking because you think you are booking the new hotel with casino but its actually the old Caesar Harrah's
