This was mine and a friends first time at the resort and I'll give my opinion: Room - We started out by being given a key to an occupied room and walked in on 2 women. Changed rooms and our room had both a leak in the bathroom and closet, which we told the front desk about and nothing was done about. Luckily we are not too fussy and made the best out of the situation because we were only in the room to sleep. Entertainment Crew - AMAZING, the highlight of our trip. Louis was the absolute fav. But all the rest were just as good getting us all active in the entertainment, showing us a club nearby, just a pleasure (they make that resort). Entertainment - Sometimes it wasn't happening as scheduled, but again were on vacation and ran with it. Food/Drinks - I would give it a 2/10. Although I never completely starved I basically ate papaya, pasta and ice-cream for 7 days. The a la cartes were literally terrible. Maybe I'm fussy in this regard but Im usually adventurous in trying new foods but it didn't look appetizing. I'm also in sobriety so in terms of the drinks I loved that they had a great arrangement of non-alcoholic drinks at the resort. Beach - My happy place! Spent most mornings with amazing company, got my hair braided, bit pushy sales people but just tell them no thanks. Excursions - Book with Ceaser at the beach for the best prices and fun excursions. We did the waterfalls and party boat. Overall it was a vacation away from the snow and cold so I made the best of it. In order to come back I would suggest the following: - More variation in the food - Overall renovations around the resort, attention to detail a bit more - Give Louis in animation team a raise We also managed to make a few cat & dog friends along the way. We had one of the cats sleeping in our room the first night which I loved.

this was an amazing vacation! the pool and the beach were beautiful and the bars always had what we wanted! the entertainment was super fun thanks to luis and warlin! the dancing and karaoke was fun and luis and warlin were always happy and inviting!

great job and great vacation
Everything is excellent, thank you all for the incredible services, especially the entertainment area. They are the best in the hotel. Thanks to them, my vacation was more fun and wonderful. I have no doubt. The food and drinks were super good, something new for my palate. girlfriend and I enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back no wonder, I played some incredible games with lisselotte I loved them and so did spaghetti

Worst ever resort I gave been to. Food is same every day rice beans Put out bread with no knife to cut and when asked cook came out cut 4 slices then back to kitchen with knife. Ran out if butter for 3 days. No diet pop. Staff not friendly and entertainment is Spanish so did not understand. Also had to wear wrist bands that are very tight and ribbon tails drag in food Have been going to Puerto Plata for 5 yrs 2 x a year but no more. Loved Sunscape and sorry to see it close. They hassle you to buy membership but thus resort is going to close for condos like all the area. Resort is old and needs lots of maintenance. Talked to a few and many including myself got sick from food. Time to try Punta Cana

Vacations
've been having really good time with the guys from the hotel, there very funny and friendly, the service is Wonderfull, the food is perfect, the pool is cool, the beach is calm, 'll be back soon with My family for sure cause we felt really comfortable here!
