    Pleasant place in the trees

Driving into this property, the trees were impressive and the property gave the impression of a tropical forest. A major highway is nearby, but the trees help shade and absorb the sound. I stayed for two nights while visiting area family. The room was adequate and a bit stuffy, but fortunately the window opened, and cleared the slightly damp smell. For the second night, I asked for an extra blanket as the single one on the bed was a bit thin. The room was clean and pleasant, if a bit older, but the price reasonable for what was offered. The lack of a coffee machine in the room was felt, though once dressed, plentiful coffee was sold in the on site restaurant. The pool area was beautiful, along with some shady seating areas, though I didn't try it out. Next time!

    Great experience!

Seven Seas is very conveniently located. It is close to everything and is right off the interstate. It is a lot bigger than it looks at first. It is a motel but is very clean and landscaping is beautiful. The pool and hot tub looked very well kept but being January, we did not try them out. The room was very reasonably priced but did not offer a free breakfast. We did make use of the on-site cafe which is basically the only eating place around close. The food was good and reasonably priced. The men who worked in the cafe were the best! They were polite, friendly, and very hospitable. They seemed to have a relationship with many of the patrons who were business travelers. This is not a high end hotel but is clean and well maintained and I would happily book it again.

Watch how your money is handled they double dip, make excuses and are acting outside the law

I am leaving this review due to serious billing and accountability issues after checkout. I authorized a $150 incidental deposit at check-in. After I checked out, instead of deducting any legitimate incidentals from that deposit and releasing the remainder, the property used stored card data to process an additional $108.86 charge the following day without my authorization. I was not present, did not present my card, and did not authorize any post-checkout charge. As of writing this review, no folio, receipt, or itemized statement has been provided to justify the charge. At the same time, the original $150 deposit has not been properly released. The result was that $258.86 was taken or held, effectively charging incidentals twice. When I contacted management, I was told the delay was “not our doing” and that it was the bank’s fault. That explanation is incorrect. Post-stay charges, use of stored payment credentials, and deposit releases are merchant-initiated actions. Rather than correcting the issue or providing documentation, responsibility was shifted elsewhere. Because of the unauthorized charge, my bank account was left in a negative balance, causing daily fees and additional financial harm. This situation could have been resolved quickly with transparency and basic accounting practices, but it was not. I am posting this so future guests are aware: if accurate billing, proper handling of deposits, and clear documentation matter to you, proceed with caution.

Affordable, Easy, and Exactly What You Need in Mission Valley/San Diego

Best Western Seven Seas San Diego is affordable, clean, and resort-like. It is the kind of place that quietly does exactly what you need without pretending to be something it is not. I chose this hotel for a couple of reasons: free parking, two hot tubs, and location. Checking in is fast and easy, and the ability to park right in front of your room makes everything feel effortless after a long day. There is also a gym, a pool, and two hot tubs, which are the real highlight for any hotel traveler who wants to unwind without leaving the property. When it comes to the rooms, they are exactly what you expect from Best Western, including HBO and a fridge to keep drinks cold. Mission Valley is central to everything San Diego, which means less time driving and more time actually enjoying the city. This is the kind of hotel you book once and then keep in your back pocket for future trips. Overall, the hotel is a solid choice and I would absolutely stay here again.
