    A really delightful pleasant place to stay

    One of the nicest places we have stayed in, starting with a most pleasant and comprehensive check in experience, the room was spotless and very comfortable even though it is not the newest everything is in superb condition and even the gardens are beautifully kept . Really highly recommend

    Exceptional Best Western Plus Experience

    This is one of several Best Western Plus that I have stayed at and this one rates right up with Exceptional. The facility is spotless, room is very clean, beds are comfy, Shower great with good water pressure. Staff are very friendly including Allen at the desk with helpful information. Parking conveniently underneath in parking garage. Hot breakfast was tasty. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here in the last 3 years and we will definitely stay here again next time.

    A plus and some minuses

    Lovely view of the bay from our 3rd floor room. The swimming pool and hot tub outside are great too. The place is clean and quiet with a good location (walkable to a lot of downtown Monterey restaurants). The bed was good but the microwave is down in the lobby. I need to use warm compresses for medical reasons, so this is not good for me. The electric light bulbs are dim. If you like bright lights BYOBulb(s). There is no desk, although the bedside tables have places to put in chargers. The furniture is sparse: 1 chair, 1 queen size sofa, coffee table as well as the usual bed and end tables + tv. The breakfast room is small and cramped with some low banquettes and high small tables. Even coming midweek in autumn some people had to carry their food to the lobby to eat there. They serve the usual choices-steam table scrambled eggs but very nice fresh pastries. They have an espresso machine and I thought about making a mocha, but you can't use it at breakfast time!

    Best western Plus Monterey Inn is a great hotel we stayed on July 18th -21st. It's a great location staff was wonderful. Has two parking levels as well with elevators on each level so you don't have to continuously go up the ramp area to go into main lobby. Wished they would have had an ice machine though on the second floor where my king room was. It also had a sliding glass door with a screen to open, and the weather was great that we were able to keep the door open all night long because there is no air conditioning in that room. Great stay and room would definitely be back in the future this was our first time at this hotel as well but not to Monterey been there multiple times great place to go for sure.

    Great!

    Lovely hotel, reasonably priced and really friendly staff on reception who went above and beyond to help us. Nice complementary American style breakfast and coffee facilities in reception all day. Nice small pool. Easy walking distance to Fishermans Wharf and Cannery Row.
