Don't waste your money
This was our second visit to this hotel and will be our last. We visited in February 2026 with another couple reserving separate rooms for the same price. We were given a room on the 3rd floor and theirs was on the 7th. We booked directly from the hotel site which listed check in time at 3 pm. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready and we were told check in was at 4 pm. Our room was disappointing when compared to our friends' room on the 7th floor. Our "ocean view" was a small patch between two buildings or looking over the top of the thatched roof dining area....on tiptoes! The bathroom had exposed pipes under the sink and the toilet flush was extremely loud. Since our friends were only staying one night and we were staying four nights, we asked if we could have their room once they checked out. We were told room 603 was available and were asked if we wanted to see it. Since we were on our way to dinner and had reservations, we asked if we could see it when we returned. After dinner, we were told by another desk staff that room 603 was no longer available. So far, we had approached the desk staff three different times and each time not one of the staff was able to offer anything other than "check back tomorrow ". They also became unfriendly and almost annoyed that we kept asking about a room change. The next day, we spoke with the manager, Aaron, who told us he would try to work something out and would call us and let us know. We never heard back from him and he wasn't working the next day so we talked to manager #2, Carol. At this point, we knew we weren't going to get any satisfaction with regard to our room so we asked if we could extend our checkout time by one hour since we didn't get into our room at the advertised check in time. Carol told us to "check back" on the morning of our last day!!! This place has the worst desk staff we have ever experienced and they certainly don't put much effort into customer service. On a positive note, the restaurant and bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. The best thing about this place is the location but there are many other hotels along this beach area that may provide better service at a more reasonable price.

Disappointing stay at Beachcomber
Beachcomber was a disappointment to say the least. We were there 6 yrs ago and the couple we were with had to leave since their room had significant bed bugs. Also the resort had a musty smell everywhere which was nauseating. They were ready to remodel and upgrade after that so we gave them a second try hoping for change/improvements.Nope.... We arrived at 3pm which was check in time online....and told our room wouldnt be ready until 4pm. Off to a bad start. (Google Beachcomber check in time...it says 3pm)...First and foremost the front desk staff are terrible...the are not friendly or welcoming at all. It's as if you are bothering them. Their customer service skills are poor. Read other reviews....many others share this same concern. We had a request to change rooms after the first day...they took our info and assured us they would let us know the next day. No call. We then spoke with a manager who apologized and said they would look into it for us. Again they did not reach out regarding our request. At this point we were only staying two more days so we just gave up. Two managers we spoke to were useless and did not follow through as promised. We then asked for a late check out since we had a late flight out. We were willing to pay. They said we would have to wait until the day of our departure. Not helpful for planning. Their front desk staff....managers and scheduling system/protocols leave a lot to be desired. The room?....the sleeping area is upgraded/okay but the bathroom is dated....dirty...and needs an upgrade. The vanity was scratched up and worn....exposed pipes under sink were dirty and unsightly...the tub/shower was also old...the caulking was dirty and missing in some areas...the toilet paper holder was hanging off the wall. The have soap/shampoo/lotion bottles in shower and near the sink...but they dont work...the pumps dont work well. ( not that i would use it anyway). The corners around the floor are dirty and need a good cleaning. Also the sink was clogged and drained very slowly. All this...Not what you expect from a resort charging these prices. Lastly they overdue it with the air freshener to the point that it is sickening. Way too much. On a positive note....the beach area is nice....and Chris...the staff on the beach is an all star...friendly and helpful. 5 stars for him ! The chairs are crappy with many broken...and dirty chairs... Restaurant and bar are pretty good with service and quality of food/drinks. I will not be a return customer due to the very poor treatment of guests...and poor customer service. They need to seriously invest in the training of the desk staff....

Never again...............
The Good and Not So Good.... 1. We arrived to an unfriendly front desk for check in and left under similar circumstances at check out.... There was NO "we hope you enjoy/enjoyed your stay" and NO "Thank you for choosing the Beachcomber" at check in or check out. 2. We were literally given the darkest, loudest and most unpleasant room on the 1st floor... no ocean view that was paid for (only dunes) and closest to construction that was taking place. When we went back to the front desk, the gentleman behind the desk showed absolutely no concern and said that there were no other rooms available. For $420 per night, it was completely unacceptable and lo and behold, a manager found us a better room. The 1st floor rooms should be a last resort because the hallway is filled with employee areas so it's quite busy and noisy. DO NOT ACCEPT A ROOM ON THE FIRST FLOOR! And during known beach construction, should not even be offered due to the all day noise. It took place the entire 5 days we were there.... 3. Our new room on a higher floor had an actual ocean view but still came with the construction noise that started at 6:45 am each morning as they got the equipment ready (lots of loud beeping). 4. The room was still quite dark, especially in the kitchen nook area. 5. The rooms seemed to be updated in the bedroom area but the bathrooms were outdated with an old vanity and tub. It was quite small and cold. They only gave us 1 set of towels which seems unusual in this day and age. 6. People with mobility issues should know that there is a step up from the hall to the rooms. And the tub in the bathroom is quite high to step over. 7. We did not have a working safe (located in the desk), 8. Wi-Fi was spotty and slooooow... Reception using data plan was just as bad 9. It was unusually cold for the area and our the room temperature measured at 68, even though we set it quite higher. Rooms windows are quite drafty and were covered in condensation, bathroom had ice on the window. 10. Very annoying that the pool area only allows 1 beach towel per guest. With the outrageous resort fee (without many amenities), they should allow 2 or more because the chairs are dirty as result of only providing 1 per person... You have to choose whether to sit on your towel or use it to dry off after a dip.... At least provide chair covers that can be washed after each use. 11. The restaurant staff is great and the food was very good. They need heaters out there since it's an open air restaurant but did have plastic sides that could come down but it's just not enough in 40 degree weather. 12. Evening music for the restaurant was nice 13. The employees that deserve recognition for effort and friendliness were the restaurant staff and the valets who worked very hard. Our car was always ready and the guys out there were great.

♥️ Spectacular weekend wedding celebration with family and friends. ♥️
We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our daughter’s wedding. We have enjoyed the hotel on multiple occasions and felt it would be the perfect spot… and it was that and more! The location, the resort layout with tiki pavilions, the 2 pools, and of course their beach! All the staff was pleasant and attentive. The shining star was Lynn, the event planner. She made sure everything was taken care of with kindness and grace. Couldn’t have done it without her. The guest rooms, suites and cottages are beautifully designed as tropical modern and very clean and comfy. We couldn’t have been happier. We will always stay here on our south Florida vacations.
