Lovely place with tons of amenities. I was in the apartment across the street with a full kitchen, It didn't have a frying pan for my eggs in the morning so made a note of it at the front desk and the next day a brand new frying pan was on the kitchen table, now that's service, thank you.
Excellent beach hotel!
Lovely! The room was clean, a little dated in places, but fine for a beach hotel. Excellent service, including the valet. A heated pool and beach chairs. Hammocks under palm trees. The restaurant and bar area is open air and has tables right on the sand and a large fire pit. It is a beautiful space with vacation vibes! Would visit again!!
Relaxing mother/son trip
We had a great trip to the Beachcomber. The pool and beach were both clean and lovely with good service at both. We stayed at the apartments located across the street from the resort which gave us full access to the resort and the ability to charge to our room along with a one bedroom apartment with a sofa bed in the living room, small kitchen, nice sitting area, and a comfortable bedroom. The kitchen had a full size fridge, dishwasher two burners, but no oven, so it was great for making breakfast and keeping snacks -- probably wouldn't work if you wanted to do heavy duty cooking. It was perfect for us.
We stayed for a night at the Beach Comber resort on the sixth of January had 5 star service from the valet to the front desk. At check in had 5 star service as well. During check in we were told there card reader wasn’t working and that we had to pay the $35 resort fee when we checked out the following morning. We had a fabulous dinner once again 5 star service everything was great until Chris the night auditor started banging on our door at midnight with security staighting we haven’t paid for our room I told him the room was paid for and only the outstanding resort fees were due at check out and all Chris could reply was that they had our car keys. We went down front to talk to Chris and he couldn’t even look at me just kept staring at his computer.he said Karole Whittmann would be in at 7 and we could talk with her. We whent back to the front desk at 7 to talk with Ms. Wittmann and Chris says she won’t be in till 930. Went outside and talked to the Valet and apparently Chris returned our keys to him.awful funny Chris can bang on our door at midnight acting like some kind of a bill collector and he has our car keys only to return them a little while later. When we did finally get to talk with Ms. Wittmann there was no sincere apology or anything. And Chris is one of the most arrogant people I’ve ever met. I could have given a five star review for this resort but my dealings with Chris acting like a bill collector I would not recommend this place to anyone that man should be fired a person like him does not belong in the service industry. And the sad part about it is this stay at The Beach Comber was a Christmas present from a dear friend
Perfect beachfront location and base for exploring Pompano
Great service, idyllic beach location and excellent onsite restaurant. Perfect home base for our Florida holiday. Especially recommend the Fort Lauderdale water taxi tour, Bonnet House tour, and dinner at the intracoastal restaurants the Rusty Hook, the Nauti Dawg & the Fisheries. We got this on a deal and were very happy with the value we received for what we paid. If we paid full price, I would have given it a four out of five instead,, since it is after all a midrange beachfront hotel.
