Finally 50 Birthday Celebration
Cleanliness rating only applies to our room not being attended to everyday although we had our green service light on and having to ask for new towels and washcloths everyday. Not quite sure why this happened but it did and this is my only complaint. Otherwise everything else was great. Some of the restaurants food was average but if you want a superb meal, definitely have dinner at the Italian restaurant! Everything was delicious!

Not worth it. Stay anywhere else.
Crushing disappointment. Just one of those trips we were really excited for and it didn’t just fall short. It felt like the whole place is simply misrepresented online and the amenities promised don’t really exist or only exist in such limited form they are almost impossible to access. Even trying to book during check in, the restaurants were mostly full for our trip so we only got dinner for 2 out of 5 nights. The resort buffet options close at 6 so this is really important. We heard the palace had one open till 10 but never late the long hike to check for sure as we got conflicting into. The lack of info was really the frustrating part. There are no online resources, no blind bookings. Everything is meant to push you to a guest services person who is overworked and annoyed at your presence (and don’t have the resources the need to provide reliable schedules and availability). The only friendly people I found were some of the bartenders so at least we could sit back and enjoy the night air with a few cocktails.. nope.. rude awakening that first night that all the beach and outside bars shut down at 7. Only thing available is the lobby bar. Really felt like we needed to meet some people and plan room parties or something. Just strange the pay all the money and even book premium rooms to really have no evening activities. I’m not sure if you’re expected to shuttle into Cancun or go outside but it made no sense. “Activities” were all similar in that there are no reliable schedules. No online booking. Only option is to trek out to the activity center and ask what’s available just to be told it’s all booked and maybe tomorrow or the next day by some annoyed over worked staff member. Spa was the same. Told us to come back each morning to try to book things for the following day. They did seem to have solid kids activities at the other resorts so I trust those reviews but that wasn’t our trip so we just ended up with a boring week with little to do and a repetitive day time buffet for 5 days.
