Fantastic Group Birthday Bash at Barceló Maya Riviera – Highly Recommend!
We just returned from an epic birthday celebration with our group of 19 at the Barceló Maya Riviera, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make it unforgettable. From Guest Services coordinating our arrivals seamlessly, Room Service cleaning the rooms, to the bartenders at the Music Pool Bar and Bahía Bar mixing up drinks with smiles – the customer service was top-notch everywhere we turned. I would recommend only to do your drinks straight. Some of the mixed drinks were just ok. The resort itself was impeccably clean and well-maintained, with all the pools sparkling and perfect for lounging. The beach was pristine and inviting too. Our rooms were massive and spotless, complete with a humongous king-size bed that felt like luxury central. Only minor gripe: we wish room service had been included in the all-inclusive package.The bars were a highlight, stocked with top-shelf alcohol that's fully included – no upcharges for the good stuff, which kept the party flowing. Food across the restaurants impressed us, especially the Japanese and Italian spots, which edged out as favorites (Mexican was solid too). We did have one close call at the Japanese when a chef's spatula slipped and flew across the table, nicking one of our group – she was fine, and no harm! It could have been worst. The Chef apologized tremendously. If this was paid our food would have definitely been free. A couple tweaks could elevate it further: The check-out processed needs to be much better. Not sure why u need the Towel card to check out. More nightlife action on the property after 9pm would be awesome for night owls like us (we're not ready for bed at 8!). The DJ was there but the music selection was not good but we made our own party! The buffet was tasty overall, but mixing up the menu a night or two would keep it fresh – no big complaints though.All in all, our entire group had a blast and can't recommend this resort enough. We'll definitely be back for more!

I attended this resort for a music festival for four days. Check-in was a bit slow, but everything was pretty good for the most part. The staff were very nice, and the room was spacious and comfortable with several amenities. The food was pretty good in the buffet, I just wished it was kept warmer. I also had no idea how to make a reservation at a restaurant, so I didn't bother. Beautiful location and pools! The beach was pretty, but there are many rock formations in the water that aren't fun to walk on. Overall, had a great stay!

Beautiful Adults Only
Beautiful, clean, great service and Beach. Large resort with wonderful food and restaurant options. Wish there were more bar locations. Juan was the best and kindest staff member we have ever met! Emanuel, Emilio and Alberto were also wonderful.

Thank for the experience it was mind blowing and beautiful at the same time. We have hope to truthfully be back next year with the minor improvements needed.
