We love the Riviera Maya
Esteban is a great activities leader. He keeps the atmosphere lively and the guests engaged. Esteban has boundless energy which keeps people excited! The team of Ari, Atziri, Carlos, Mariana are exceptional and add great value to Barcelo Maya Palace. My kids, husband and I all had a great time! #Crazygames 😁

Aggressive Employee, Terrible Experience.
On June/03-23 We my family arrived to Barcelo Maya Palace as we supposed to be here from the Airport at 12:00pm. On the main lobby front desk at the arriving time Marlon Perez provided us a service, we provided to him our reservation number, all details as he requested, he was able to confirm our reservation and according to him few details were not matching with the reservation status as it was confirm by my wife few days prior to the arriving, even it was a phone conversation regrading the details and how we would like to have the three reservations. During the issue we noticed some discrepancies and the explanation he provided to us was not totally true. The three reservation we made in fact were totally wrong, the bed numbers of the room we required and the type of room were not what we agree during contract time. This employee started with a very long history and nothing related to the issue. He was discussing the issue with his supervisor Maria and the results were negative, of course as a family waiting for them around 45 minutes. Both employees were in and out from the Manager's office having a really poor skills to treat the customers. Maria Palominos supervisor in charge was totally disrespect during the issue, had no identification to verified her name. Maria was at the same time in and out from the same office, they asked me question not relevant to the topic after 56 minutes waiting for a respond she returned to he lobby stating there is nothing she can do to help us. The issue escalated to a different level with her negative attitude, poor professionalism, her poor mentality treated us with very disrespect attitude, her tone level was very high, her arrogant way against us, Her demanding way to expressed her point of view with out having the right facts, the disconnected between her position VS our family. She continued with very aggressive attitude her tone of voice was very high having no moral on front of the staff. I decided to asked her to please leave the area, it was a horrible scene and she made me felt very uncomfortable. The Manager never was present during the issue even we asked to speak with her. This experience was terrible, my family and my self were treated very unprofessional, there is no respect. The way she handled the situation we believe is not the Values of this Company. The way she represented Barcelo is very demeaning. She deserved to be fire. I will escalate the issue to a corporate level. Please be alert with this type of employees.

Bar carey at Barcelo Maya Palace Outstanding service from Maria Perez at Bar Carey, she remembered our family from previous visits and our drinks, is always very attentive, great manners, and always has kind smile. Specialty Restaurants Jorge Carro and his team at the Caribe and Rodizio had amazing service and delicious food!

Book it! You will love your experience at Barcelo Maya Palace!
We loved our stay at Barcelo Maya Palace! Everything was pristine and the staff were constantly working to keep the grounds and facilities looking amazing. And they were so friendly and happy to help. The dinners at the restaurants were also delicious. We stayed at the premium level and had no trouble making dinner reservations. I would highly recommend upgrading to the premium level. Check-in and check out were a breeze. We had a really fun time at Tokyo restaurant and Ignacio put on a very entertaining show. Ari and Carlos were super helpful and immediately addressed the problem we reported with our tv not working. The pools and beaches were also incredible. And the hydrotherapy at the spa was wonderful. I would recommend bringing a fan due to the humidity for your room but other than that an all around incredible experience! And make sure you visit cenote Azul across the road from the resort. $10 used per person and so worth it!

Miguel cabanas and Filiberto were great! Very personalized attention! Good recommendations! Everything was very very good. The salad bar was great, two people went back for seconds. The Cajun crusted steak was delicious. We would’ve gotten seconds if we were allowed.
