Barcelo' Resort
Overall a good experience for us but we had a rain day and a leaky roof. We reported to the hotel and they said it was air conditioning condescension. Only happened on the rain day all other days we had the AC going with no water in our room

Barcelo 2023
This trip was great as always, just wish I could have made dinner reservations every night and not only 2 nights of the five I stayed.. buffets are great but we like to dress up at night and have a nice family dinner

Excellent relaxing family vacation
We were very pleased with out trip to Barcelo Colonial for our family of 4, 2 girls ages 9 and 13. The resort was very cleaned and well maintained. The waitstaff was excellent; very professional, friendly and hard working especially David at the colonial buffet and Noe at the Tropical! They even remembered our names! Buffet food was very good, especially the fresh fruit, made to order omelets and wood fired pizza. Our youngest loved the ice cream and popcorn at the bar. The a la carte restaurants were very good, The salmon was excellent. Our 9 year old loved the kids club and spent a lot of time there! There was plenty to do with on-site artisan shopping, mall area, paddle ball, very nice gym, spa, watersports, dolphins, pier, and miles of beach to walk. This is the first all inclusive that we have said we would definitely go back to! Thank you for a wonderful vacation, your staff should be commended! We tipped the waitstaff, bartenders, kids club and maids a few dollars for their services and the tips were definitely appreciated. Suggestions for improvement: Provide more hand sanitizer stations in the buffet area! We had to specifically ask for wash cloths in our room, but our maid got them for us daily. We always had clean bath towels, but it was hit and miss with hand towels and bath mats.

Just returned from 5 day stay. Anniversary disappointment
My son is 6'4" and did not fit the regular size beds. Inquired about larger beds but none were offered even with upgrade to family suite. The only activity the grandchildren enjoyed was the surfing slide but that was $20 extra per person for the day. Tried bowling and was charged $15 per game. Notified front desk of our 50th anniversary and our son's 20th anniversary but nothing was acknowledged. Room was adequate but had to call maintenance for clogged drain and air conditioning not working. Beach was well kept. Entertainment at night was terrible. Activity staff needs upgraded since guests had to pursue beach and pool volley ball on their own. Specialty restaurants were good. Buffet was okay with lots of choices. Breakfast was the best meal at the buffet. Front desk needs more staff. Previous stay at the Caribe is a better option compared to our stay at the Colonial.

Beautiful resort!
We had an excellent time with our extended family, and enjoyed a decent selection of restaurants and food options, and a beautiful pool and beach space. Staff were friendly and attentive, and our room was clean and comfortable.
