Got perfect beach for resuming my swimming and exercise after surgery and to renew my spirits. To this was added beautiful weather and thoughtful staff. Was overwhelmed by good will and pleasant experiences. Premium suites perfect of quiet vacation and excellent beach access.

Stayed for 7 nights with a group. We had 12 people and 4 rooms. Grounds are well maintained and the beach is very nice. As many other reviews state, the food is poor to average at best. None of us are picky eaters and we had problems finding foods that we liked. Internet was very spotty and would not trust it (especially in the rooms). Drinks are very good and they use above average alcohol. We have been to many all inclusive spots throughout the years and I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Do better Barcelo
I don't recommend Barcelo at this time because of the issues we encountered as Premium guest. The staff are rude at check in, the butler was useless, my room had roaches and no one seemed to care.

Very Average
Very average place. You can find much better places in Dominican. Rooms have mold on ceiling, walls & even pillows. Food is very average, same in buffets or specialty restaurants, same every day, no change. Chemicals smell in some restaurants. Public bathroom have no AC, barely any light in stalls, and smell of piss. Staff is lazy and speak very limited English. This hotel went down.

We had an amazing time during this long weekend. We enjoyed the clean grounds, great foods, excellent services, and decent weather. I highly recommend this location.
