Another very good stay all around
Hotel located on a beautiful section of Baravo Beach, good food, friendly staff, great spa and golf course. Access to the family side gives you plenty of choices for restaurants. OUr favorite were LeGourmet and LaBrisa. We will be back for sure

Beautiful Grounds, But Very Cheap and Subpar Resort
The rooms were good. They were a little small (especially the bathroom), but it got the job done. Housekeeping was fantastic. Every time we came back to our room it was always in good shape and rarely smelled of mold or something else. The pools were also fantastic as well, as each pool looked very nice. However, other than that, the resort was very subpar. I feel a bit scammed giving the asking price of the resort. We bought the premium package and there was very little to differentiate between the premium and non-premium package. As part of the premium package, we got a free 45 minute hydrotherapy session, however there was no check-in procedure at the spa so people who did not have the premium package could still come and go as they please. We were told that they had priority reservations as part of the premium package. This is simply untrue. We made plans the day of due to excursions and were often left with only 3 times for the entire evening to eat dinner. Some of the more popular restaurants, such as the Mexican and Japanese restaurants, didn’t have any availability for over a week, which for our 5 day trip was out of range. It seems poor to offer premium reservation assistance and tell customers that there is no availability at some of the better restaurants for your entire stay. The food itself was horrible. I got food poisoning from eating at one of the buffets, and 2 of the meals I had at the restaurants were simply inedible. The other meals I had at the restaurants were edible, but still not good. Drinks were also horrible as well. Service left a lot to be desired. During check-in, staff interrogated us as the credit card we used to make the reservation was cancelled due to fraud. We provided the new card (different card number but registered to the same account) and the staff simply refused to help us. Only after we showed them a picture of the old card would they help us. At other times, staff were simply rude. There were multiple instances where our towels were stolen while we were swimming in the pool and we had to walk all the way back to reception and ask for a new towel card, only to be interrogated as to why we lost our towels. Every time when we went to a restaurant we had to wait 5 minutes for the hostess to come and serve us just for them to disappear for another 10-15 minutes before finally getting seated. Then, we would have to wait 20-30 minutes to order our food, and then have to wait an hour for the very mediocre food to come out. Overall, I feel scammed by the amount of money I paid for this resort. I had much higher expectations and left the property feeling disappointed and excited to actually have food that would be edible.

Not Impressed
The best part of the trip was the DR people. They're so kind, loving and incredibly hospitable people. This Resort is not clean, the alcohol offerings are cheap, and food is subpar. I got by eating rice, creole stews and passion fruit. I see what they're doing, and what they're going for. Other places like Wyndham have similar offerings with less smelly buffets. I can't imagine the food at the more higher end places would be much better. But to go a whole weekend without serving Mofongo...and instead selling hot dogs...makes me sad. The rooms smelled of mold, and bathrooms were not clean. I will not be going back.
