Dec 24, 2025What a time, What a time!!
Decided to return to the Barcelo Bavaro Beach and treat my family to a mini vacation! We had the time of our lives and are still talking about it! From the service received as a Club Premium Level member, to the food/drinks, the hydro massages at the spa, the relaxation on the beach, and the friendliness of the staff...they're now looking to return themselves. I changed my room to a suite and it was absolutely gorgeous. Made me wonder if I was still in the same building. Two separate bathrooms both with walk-in showers, mini-fridges, t.v.s, a jacuzzi adjacent to the master bedroom, and the view of the beach - just nice!! The room was nice enough to make you want to stay in, but the resort is just too beatiful to miss out on any activities.

Great Place for Vacation,weddings,etc Is a big Resort Lobby.Beach ,Bares,Restaurants,Spa ,Teatro,Casino.Mall gift shop Golg area,swimming recreational big Areas. this Beach has a tons of Plams trees and the sand is almost white with pink. and is very smooth to walk. is a very long long beach to see and have lots of fun

Food was not good. Pool was very nice and clean. Service was good! It was a relaxing trip. Beach and property was clean. Bathrooms in rooms need to be updated.

Dec 23, 2025A decent beach with much room to improve at the resort
We already visited Barcelo palace in Tulum, Mexico. Based on our last stay decided to try Barcelo Bavaro beach in Punta Cana. Although a nice beach and clean grounds. There are definite needs to improved in below area 1- general room maintenance. The resort rooms are old and there issues including toilets. 2- quality of foods (other than LaBrista) is generally poor. 3- Staff are not very responsive to own Barcelo members. Our experience in Mexico to get our deserved upgrades was much better.

Very nice Resort
This Adult Only resort is very nice. Some things are dated but not too much. The bed we had was very hard, to the point we both had sore backs and hips.The WiFi in the rooms for streaming was nonexistent. It's nice to be able to watch the News Network you prefer if you bring a Fire Sitck, but the very poor WiFi made that impossible. The staff through out was amazing. Very friendly, helpful and they did their best to speak English, some were very good. Thank goodness for iPhone Translation. The pool, bars and buffets were all outstanding. We will definitely be going back with more of our family member in the coming year. We were there the first 2 weeks of December and the ocean was nice, a bit warmer than the pool, but the water was not very clear and there was a lot of vegetation in the water. Our shuttle driver told us that the water is at its best the end of February into March and early April.
