not as expected
construction right next door so beware when reserving "deluxe ocean view" View only occurs on 5th floor; 2nd and 3rd floors blocked by tree branches; noise starts at 7a.m.; calls to front desk often weren't answered or if they were, the request never happened (needing add'l robes, towels etc.). air vents very moldy; WIFI had to sign on every day sometimes multiple times per day; positive note - restaurant staff in the buffet restaurants very accommodating, friendly and professional

Barceló hotel needs attention
The building is old, Barceló ownes it many years now. The halls in front of the elevators on all floors flooded after nightly rains. The shower in my room had bad shampoo dispensers, easy to update. Bedside lamp’s didn’t function. Lighting in bathroom should be improved, very dark. Must go to second floor to get ice, none of the dispensers on upper floors in building 2 worked, Television remot not working, volume and channel control not functioning. Took 2 days to get it fixed. Construction of new buildings could be seen daytime and heard mornings, no one has control of this but another room would have worked. By the end of week we like to sleep in later. All inclusive rate did not equate to the value of this 7 night vacay. Sorry

A weekend escape Nov.2025
Location is great, on beach, drinks, spa, food service good.Housekeeping needs work.Good time overall! Front desk staff especially Giovanni very helpful.Japanese restaurant on property especially Hibachi,EXCELLENT!

Barcelo Aruba, we will definitely come back
Location is amazing because it is in the middle of Palm Beach and that is where everything happens. Lots of bars and night market. Atmosphere is lively yet very private. Guests are decent people, I think. Rooms are okay, spacious and we weee given an ocean view by Belinda of First Club- amazing! Noose level is great. Though we were facing the pool, we can hardly hear noise from our room. We would like to make a special mention to the ones who went above and beyond exceptional care and service Belinda, Ivette in the First Club Concierge, Daniel bar tender at First Club. Manuel, Edmund, Edmundo and Mary Jean at Kyoto Japanese Restaurant, Roel, Paris at L’Olio, Stephanie at Arubiano. They made our stay worthwhile and comfortable.

Hibachi at Barcelo!
Amazing time at Hibachi! Kyoto was a great place - incredible food and server Mary was amazing! Hibachi chef Edmund was so fun!
