Wow wow wow
Ok so let me address the elephant in the room up front / this is a tourist destination where people pay for daily access ... that is because it is 100% worth visiting it is really impressive - so you are sharing the resort with daily visitors some are better than others / some are big tour buses full of teenagers / they were all really respectful the falls and hot springs serve to keep everyone pretty calm - the drinks are less expensive than advertised as the dollar to colon exchange rate is favorable - the grounds, rooms, spa, lobby area restaurant (we ate all our meals here) were impeccable. We went running at 6 am each morning and the property was full of people cleaning every inch impeccably including draining and cleaning entire pools. our room was impeccably clean despite being in the middle of a rainforest with 100s of birds surrounding it including adorable baby birds above our door and humming birds next to our porch. The staff were incredibly friendly - and it just resort/ Costa Rica friendly / I know this is as our next resort had Costa Rican staff that were incredibly unfriendly condescending and rude ... the staff were patient and kind and all spoke English even though we rudely speak little to no Spanish. the food was amazing - the drinks we got were great and under the advertised price - we for an additional suite last minute in the middle of spring break that was spacious and amazing / we couldn't have been more pleased we would book here again and again five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

TERRIBLE service, hateful and rude staff, lousy food- and no one working there seemed to care
Tragically this beautiful hotel was ruined by rude safe, lousy food. and terrible service. Would NOT recommend. I travelled with a business colleague and my family. We had two rooms for two nights, and I invited 20 friends to join us- they purchased day passes. The reception staff was so disorganized and rude. The misogyny that radiated from the front desk, led by hateful and disrespectful Juan, was a disgrace to Costa Rica. I was so disappointed, I tried to contact management and was completely ignored. For the price and the miserable time, do NOT spend your money there. Many other lovely hot springs and hotels to choose from.

The worst staff to give service in the lunch area
The hotel is fine except in march 2, 2025 we got treated so bad by the staff who was incharge of assigning seats in the lunch area. He yelled at us and had such a bad service towards the clients. You should train tour staff or not have it at all in client services.

Noisy construction work, poor costumerservice and flies in the breakfeastbuffet.
We stayed for there days as a family and recommend that you go on a day-pass if wanna visit the baldi hot springs and dont stay at the hotel. All familysuits has green plastic and noisy construction right outside the balcony - of which we was not informed before. If you want another room, they offer you a small and worndout room with no compensation. Costumerservice was very poor. The breakfeast buffet was left out to long with flies in serveral of the areas and the food in the restaurant was average and expensive - like the hotel: too expensive compared to the what you get.

Nice relaxing evening in the pools. Wasn't crowded. Price a little steep, though.
To buy tickets for the day pass, a hotel parking attendant will direct you to park out front where it says “No Parking”. Everyone needs to go to the front desk to get wristbands. They’ll provide parking instructions after that. Lockers were $7. They are small but fit our backpack and clothes. Towels are a $10 refundable deposit. This was the only hot springs we visited, so can’t compare it to the others. The pools were nice. Most had a waterfall and seating. Each pool had a poster showing the temperature. We didn’t feel that they were accurate, though. Even so, plenty of cold, hot, and very hot pools… exactly what we were looking for! They advertise 25 pools, but that includes the “cold water pools” inside a lot of the hot pools. There are some slides towards the back. Even the slowest slide is pretty fast! Another reviewer described them as extreme. I’d agree with that assessment. There are plenty of pools to spread out. We arrived at 5pm and went into all of them and none felt crowded. There are water fountains between many of the pools so you don’t get dehydrated. There are plenty of lounge chairs to store shoes and towels and to relax. Many pools even had swim up bars with drinks costing around $12-$15. This was a neat experience. $50 for entry seems a little steep when paying for a family, but we’re glad we did it. Others say you can get tickets cheaper by purchasing in town before arriving. If you’re in La Fortuna, you must do the hot springs at least once! We enjoyed our visit to Baldi. It’s a good choice.
