Feb 20, 2026My for booking was canceled 4/15 -4/26 2026 with no reopening scheduled for the Runaway Bay Adult Resort
Booked Luxury Runaway Bay Adults only 4/15 thru 4/26 2026, Bahia Principe sent an email dated 2/15/2026 which stated the resort would remain closed thru those dates with no reopening even scheduled. Problem is my travel agent says the resort is still accepting bookings and to arrive as scheduled at the resort. Lets say you go and the resort is closed as stated by the Bahia Customer Service. You then have no alternative but calling your agent or just paying someone to drive you around trying to find a resort that is open and has a room available to rent. You are then an easy mark and will be overcharged at the other resorts after paying the Bahia plus transportation to the site which you didn't need. Don't leave home before you have absolute confirmation at a resort via email with their contact phone number plus the booking number. Problem is I can't do anything but wait for the agent to resolve this matter without the Bahia telling them directly that the resort is indeed closed for which I have already requested they send an email alert. I will bump the review if the Bahia provides an alternate luxury adult resort. Bahia Principe responded quickly after my request for the status of the resort, then offered to cancel or move to another location, but now hung up with travel agent not willing to investigate the situation or even talk to the Bahia after stating the resort is open for business.

Feb 20, 2026Best place to stay in Jamaica Runaway Bay
I am writing a review based on my visit a few years back. I went with my husband the 1st time and the following year our daughter had her destination wedding there with 30 people. Everything at this resort was 10/10. we absolutely love it there. we are going back with friends end of November 2026 and cannot wait. Hoping by then all the renovations will be completed. I'm sure it will be. Hope to see some familiar faces as I loved all the people that worked there. :-)

You will want to come back over and over
This resort is a favourite of mine and I keep coming back! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained the pools are large and lots of empty loungers with canopies near the pool itself, pool entertainment is some of the most energetic in Jamaica and will surely make you laugh many many times. The beaches are beautiful and great for snorkelling with a breakwater making for clear water and lots of colourful sealife. The rooms are always well kept and clean the food and service is spectacular. The staff make this place special and memorable they strive to make you feel at home. Its a resort you can come back to over and over and have a new experience each time. Shoutout to Spicy D for the best experience every time cant wait to see you all again April 2026!!!

Everything was great! Too bad was so short.
Only there a few days . There are two complexes but this one is adults only and you have more choices for restaurants. The room was very big. There is a small beach cove area but if you walk to the beach of the other complex you can swim and the beach is way bigger. The food was excellent. Make sure to take advantage of all the activities and they also have bikes . Lots of walking around. Calculate about an hour from the airport in case of traffic. Best and faster to use the hotel transfers for a fee.

Nude Beach
The nude beach was a 10/10. Definitely a must try. More signs are needed to highlight that a nude beach is located on property as a lot of persons don’t know this.
