A perfect laid-back tropical experience
We stay here every time we come to Kauai. If you want to know what "an Aloha Experience" is all about, you'll find it at the Aston (and everywhere nearby) . All Aston employees seem happy: they are pleasant and willing to "go the extra mile" with every type of assistance. The Aston location is also perfect for quiet beach strolls along the well maintained coastal walkway, which extends a short distance south to a lovely sacred site or north past the Sheraton into a little forrest. Leave the path at any time to walk the beaches. We always think maybe we won't rent a car next time and instead just Uber from the airport. Why? Because the Aston has a great central location for everything we might need or want. It is snugged-up behind the Coconut Marketplace, making almost everything a short walk: restaurants, a deli with most necessities, pharmacy, yoga on the lawn, outdoor entertainment, tourist shops, and a weekly Farmers Market. We even walked over to the Sheraton Luau (about 10 minutes). But. . . . we relent and rent a car because having a vehicle is nice for a grocery run; although Aston offers rental bikes, and Safeway is not that far. And of course, a car is needed to to access farther places we want to visit again. NOTE: This is not a party area: if you are looking for that; no problem, just head toward Poipu. This is also not a snorkel or swim area: Instead, it is a serious riptide area! No one swims the ocean on this part of the coast. However, the Aston has a nice pool, right next to the little tiki bar and hot tub. In Summary: the Aston rocks....quietly, gently.

Just ok The front desk rep Torrie was very rude. Please don’t let your guard down. I did I should have said something
Pillows are hard. I should have asked for some fluffy ones. 2 reps worth mentioning Peggy and Jason very nice friendly. A rep Torrie at the front desk very rude. If you pay cash for anything she said they don’t give receipts. Very odd. We witness her being rude and disrespectful .

Week on the Island.
This accommodation is found in a great location! Adjacent to the Coconut market, shopping and food is always close by. The Aston Islander is a wonderful place that offers its own beach view where the sunrises are exquisite. Highly recommend for visitors.

Worst Check-in Experience Ever
I checked in around 4pm. They assigned me a room and upon getting to the room, I found there was no bedding for the bed, no towels for the bathroom, and the room was generally dirty. About 4 hours later the room was ready after they called a housekeeper back to the hotel. Apparently there were no other rooms available.

Make sure to bring your own WIFI and come back here early otherwise you won't find parking. They charge their daily rates a little amount differently. When you book make sure to ask how much is the total with all the taxes included. For the amount costing at 230 daily that's excluding taxes, choose a place such as the Hilton or Marriot depending on where you are. For those of you who are seeking CLEAN ROOMS, watch out for the black dust and dust balls behind the bed. Breakfast with an ocean view it's nice but there are other hotels nearby, such as the Hilton. No freshly brewed coffee only pods in the room and god knows how much residue is in the coffee machine. Air conditioner and shower pressure worked well. The staff. Unsure exactly what happened one night but one of my co-worker after work arrived late and discovered he was locked out of his room. He was finally able to get in around 3a.m. when I looked at my phone.
