Mar 27, 2026Storm Kona Low 2026 did not ruin our holiday!
Second time choosing this beautiful homely hotel. It was chosen as we do not like the concrete castles as they are over bearing. The location is perfect for us. Love the staff/team here - ask them anything and they really do put an effort into trying to help you - nothing was too much trouble. We love staying in the back of the hotel. Unfortunately for us (it was a longer than normal stay as we were celebrating retirement) the storm Kona Low (we now own the tee shirt) arrived a day after we turned up and stayed for the duration! But we did manage to get 3 out of 16 sunny days. This did not upset us as where the hotel is situated as it is close to all shops, restaurants, beach etc so there was still plenty to do. Loved the way the staff/team pulled together - great atmosphere. Rooms were very clean - had to be moved from one as the storm shorted out our air con. We would love to stay at this little gem once again in the future.

Great value hotel
Can’t beat the location. Atmosphere is relexing. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast is simple but a nice touch. Room is dated but it is big, clean and decent. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. With this price, i have no complaints.

Overall experience is good, rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. Washrooms were cleaned with good quality toiletries. Staff was very friendly and customer centric. All other nights were quiet except St. Patrick’s day were neighbouring room had party all night and very noisy (crazy loud shouting, offensive language etc). I would have given perfect score if breakfast had fresh fruits, protein (Eggs, Potatoes and meat) with vegetables.

A very comfortable stay!
A beautiful place within walking distance of most of Waikiki and some of Honolulu. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and will go out of their way to accommodate you. The free breakfast is sufficient for most, we just happen to have dietary restrictions. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing hotel
We had a wonderful stay at your hotel and truly appreciated the overall experience. The staff made a big difference — everyone was friendly, professional, and always ready to help. We would especially like to recognize those team members who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. In particular, Jesse was incredibly helpful — always kind, attentive, and willing to assist with anything we needed. His positive attitude and professionalism really stood out and made our stay even more enjoyable. It’s clear that your team genuinely cares about guests, and that made our visit special. The only thing we felt was missing was a microwave in the room, which would have made our stay even more convenient. Thank you for the excellent service — we would be happy to return and recommend your hotel to others.
