Good Things in Small Packages
This small hotel is located in the heart of Waikiki, a half block off of Kalakaua Ave. It's a short walk to the beach and there are lots of nearby dining options. Our room was standard, no frills, but was clean and had the amenities we needed for a two night stay. The lobby was so comfortable, combining indoor/outdoor space with tropical plantings. Once you've seen the pool and deck chairs, take a cold cup of water (always available) and wander back and relax by the koi pond with its bridge and benches. A continental breakfast is served in the lobby area. We had an early tour booked on our first day and staff was able to send us on our way with hot coffee/tea and delicious blueberry muffins to take along. Staff was friendly and Mike, the concierge, was really helpful with recommendations and obtaining transportation to the pier. I'd stay here again if returning to Honolulu.

Wonderful Stay at the Oasis
This is my second stay at the Aqua Oasis and it didn't disappoint. We had a twin room which was a nice size, had comfy pillows and a small fridge. The breakfast each morning was small and adequate. The hotel is in a great location and close to everything. The pool is very small. It has a really nice koi pond and orchid garden. The staff here and very polite and super friendly.

stay at aqua oasis hotel
As I arrived after 2 extremely long flights, I was given a room next to the elevator, carpet was gross and dusty, smelling old, room good size but matress terrible, if u tried to open the wndow to breath fresh air (i m allergic to dust) u d get the lousy noise of air condition system of the all building right outside, unbearable right after such a long flight. I mentioned as I booked few days before that i needed a silent and clean room cause i d need some good rest on arrival. When I came to desktop to complain they said no other room, i went back to the room 20mn and i really realised if i d stay, I'd get sick so I letted them know that i wasn't able to stay, they said the normal policy is that booking.com return the last 2 days and they d need to charge me for the first day. I called booking.com in front of them explaining the situation that it was impossible for me to stay, they said ok, to this day. To this day i got 0 refund neither from aqua oasis neither from booking, the total amount was almost 900$ for 3 days. I gave them time to sort it out, it's been 3,5 months and still nothing!

Pictures can be deceiving
The hotel looks amazing online. In person was another thing. There was a large crack in the ceiling in the bathroom. The paint on the bathroom door looks like they tried to cover damages and the paint didn't match. The TV would pixelate if watched to long and the remote barely worked. By day 2 we were looking for a new place. We ended up staying put because the other options were not that great. Another thing to mention is that even though it says "parking available", what isn't mentioned is that it is valet only and $45 per night. That came as a bit of a surprise. We did appreciate the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make sure our needs were met which we greatly appreciated.

Hidden Gem
This is a small hotel with a great location. Short walk to the beach and 1 block off the main street where there is great shopping and restaurants. It can use some updating. The breakfast was great and adequate. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. They scheduled a taxi for us to diamond head and the cruise ship terminal. Would definitely stay here again.
