Our favorite hotel in the world
We are still in Costa Rica and already reserved for the 2026 holidays, which tells you everything you need to know. We first stayed at Andaz Costa Rica Resort at Peninsula Papagayo in 2024 and loved it so much that we rebooked at the airport on our way home. Returning in 2025 only confirmed what we already knew: this is not just a beautiful hotel—it is an extraordinary experience powered by truly exceptional people. The staff is, without exaggeration, the heart and soul of this place. Every interaction felt genuine, warm, efficient, and joyful. From the drivers and front desk to the welcome staff at every restaurant and bar, housekeeping, and the spa team—there is a level of care and humanity here that is rare and deeply felt. Cambi Kids Club deserves its own standing ovation. It is an absolute gem. The caregivers are kind, attentive, and genuinely invested in the children. Our kids still talk about them, which says everything. As parents, it gave us both peace of mind and gratitude to see our children so happy and connected. The food was spectacular across the board. • Ostra delivered my single best dish of 2025—memorable, creative, and flawless. • Gaio served the best gnocchi I have had in my life (and that is not said lightly). • Coffee and Vinyls became a daily ritual, thanks to incredible drinks and a staff that made every visit feel like being welcomed by friends. The spa experience, especially the sound bath, was unforgettable—grounding, beautiful, and perfectly executed. We have stayed at many Hyatt family-friendly properties over the years, and this one stands above the rest. For families especially, Andaz Papagayo strikes the rare balance of luxury, warmth, fun, and authenticity. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is a place you return to—not just because it is stunning, but because of the people who make it feel like home.

Luxury Stay at Andaz Papagayo with Private Tours
We stayed in a 3-bedroom penthouse and it was fantastic! The views were absolutely stunning, and we loved enjoying the private pool every evening. The kitchen and bedrooms were beautifully designed and extremely comfortable. Every restaurant at the resort was top quality, offering great variety, and the concierge did an excellent job handling reservations and transportation around the property. For our excursions, we booked private tours with Nomadtourscr. We looked at several companies but didn’t want to do crowded group excursions. Gabriel helped us organize our airport transportation and tours at very reasonable prices, better than booking directly through the hotel. We did a fishing and snorkeling tour and the La Leona waterfall hike, which was an incredible adventure and perfect for families who enjoy outdoor activities. We highly recommend both Andaz Papagayo and Nomad Tours Costa Rica and hope to return soon!

Andaz at Papagayo is one of my new favorites
The Andaz at Papagayo was a wonderful experience that I would recommend for all travelers. We've traveled around the world and this is one of the few places that we'd go to again. The location is beautiful, private (gated access) and only 25 minutes from LIR airport. The accommodations were stunning and well appointed. The Bay View room had a private balcony over looking the beautiful peninsula. A blend of Luxury and a tropical feel makes this a very special resort. The staff were very attentive...prompt and personable. Angel, Edgar, Wendy and especially J.J and Breth made you feel like you were family. The Food in all the restaurants was consistent and delicious. Spa and the workout facilities were awesome. Look forward to going back soon.
