Great place to celebrate a special occasion
We had a great time at the resort. The activities that are included in the resort fee are pretty great (Kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, canoeing etc..). The beach right out front was wonderful and we saw many whales and brilliant sunsets from the pool.

Great, relaxing honeymoon stay
My wife and I kicked off our honeymoon here, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The entire hotel has an understated, open vibe that is a welcome departure from the over the top aesthetics of the the other hotels in Wailea. The room design of their standard rooms are particularly well suited to couples, especially the massive horizontal shower with a glass front to the bed and balcony. There's a bit of wear and tear evident in the room after a decade of use and it does not look ultra modern or trendy anymore, but I think they did a good job designing with longevity in mind as is so often the case with Hyatt properties. Unless you actively want a plush-style luxury experience this shouldn't be a problem. The pool terraces are both very cool to look at and very functional, providing lots of swimming and lounging space for different groups of guests and great views for everyone. The beach was obviously one of the best beaches in the world, but that should go without saying for any property in Wailea. The staff at the pool and beach were also very attentive and proactive. Food was also almost uniformly good, with the particular highlights being the quality of the everyday food like the breakfast buffet (the best either of us have enjoyed at any hotel), the beach lunch options, and even the late night room service. The dinners we had there at the main restaurant and during the luau were closer to ok than great, but still had lots of variety. The spa was another highlight. The massage therapists were very very good (something we're usually fairly picky about), the locker and indoor plunge/sauna facilities were nice and well-maintained, and my wife gave high marks to the salon. Overall we were very happy we chose to stay here instead of the other Wailea hotels (at least as a couple), and would happily make that choice again the next time we're in Maui.

Wonderful and Lovely Stay, a true Hawaiian paradise.
From the moment you step on the Andaz Property, you are welcomed with kindness and beauty. The lobby, pools, and beach are incredible along with the friendly staff. The beds are very comfortable and my room requests were granted with ease and grace. The food options on the property are incredible. I highly recommend staying here!

Pacific Dream Photography at Andaz Maui
I had an amazing experience with Pacific Dream Photography at the Andaz, and I can't recommend them enough! Troy, our photographer, was fantastic. He had such a great eye for detail and really knows how to bring out the best in people. He made us feel comfortable and relaxed right away, which made all the difference. Whether it was a posed shot or a more natural moment, he captured everything beautifully. The photos turned out stunning—better than we could have imagined! Michael, the studio manager, was also incredible. He made sure everything was set up perfectly and helped us in going over everything and making sure we got the best pictures. Overall, the whole experience was smooth, fun, and, most importantly, the photos were amazing. They surely go above and beyond and I would definitely recommend them!

Average hotel
I felt the hotel is extremely overpriced for the facilities and service. Overall I would not stay here again. Only thing going for it is the location, the location is great in Wailea, rest of it not so much. Staff was often times rude and unhelpful and many times they would even ignore patrons. Overall not a great experience. Despite being Globalist, no room upgrade was provided.
