    Exceptional Staff & Highly Recommend

    My husband and I stayed at the Alaia with friends of ours. We have traveled together several times and the Alaia and San Pedro were one of our favorite destinations. First of all, the staff are exceptional. They are welcoming, friendly, professional, and so hard working. Several staff truly stood out and made our experience so memorable. Thank you to Eric, Kennroy, Minnie, Josue, Moises, and Blanca! They took fantastic care of us! The Alaia is modern, clean, and a beautiful property. This was the best food we have had at a resort property. We thoroughly enjoyed the chef table experience and snorkeling. Both were excellent! The only areas for improvement was the sushi restaurant, as it took an hour for only appetizers to arrive and wasn’t busy at all at dinner. Only one table of 4 had any food brought out in that hour. We ended up leaving and went to a different restaurant on property and had a fantastic meal. In the future, I would book a suite that faced the pool or ocean instead of a studio since the room was an awkward layout and the balcony wasn’t private. San Pedro and Alaia is a wonderful destination and the exceptional staff make it on to remember!

    Island Vibes

    Excellent resort with helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in the newer part and had a great sea view. Part of the resort (the villas) existed before Marriott took over, so there is a wide range of accommodation. While we were there, there was a group of high-school seniors on spring break and also families with younger children. There is a wonderful play area for kids with forts, rope ladders, swings, etc. At first, I thought maybe we should have booked an adults-only resort, but there was no problem with the range of ages. There is a dive shop on the premises and we saw folks working on their certifications. This part of the coast has an issue with sargassum, so swimming is pool-based. The beach area is flat and really wide, so for enjoying the ambiance it's perfect. We'd love to go back and thought a week was the perfect stay.

    Perfect vacation!

    Alaia Belize is so beautiful and relaxing. The food and drinks are fresh and delicious. Definitely do the “when in Belize” beach food festival while you are there! The rooms are very large and spotlessly clean. The best part is the incredible staff. Everyone is genuinely friendly, kind and attentive. I highly recommend this resort!

    Fabulous High School Senior Spring Break

    We came to Belize with a group of parents and high school seniors for spring break. Our experience was fabulous and so much better than a similar experience in Cancun.
