Ahhh-mazing!
I treated myself to a solo trip for my 50th birthday and could not have picked a better resort! San Pedro checked off my wish list (bucket list destination with a short direct flight, warm, safe). Alaia Belize hit the rest of my list-ocean front, great view, nice staff, safe and luxurious. The view from my room was breathtaking. The staff were all amazing and responded promptly to questions and requests. Mr Eric, Celina (?sp) at the concierge desk, Wendy in housekeeping to name a few. If you need a cab anywhere, Alfonso is simply the best! You get more than a cab ride- you also learn some Belizean history from an incredibly kind and brilliant young man. I also booked a mainland tour through the concierge desk. Our tour guide, Albert, was absolutely amazing! We visited the Altun Ha Mayan Temples, went horseback riding and cave tubing. Albert is quite knowledgeable in the history of the sites we visited, very insightfully adjusted our timing at Altun Ha to avoid large cruise ship crowds, and has the best sense of humor. I truly had the time of my life!

First time in San Pedro
We found the staff to be consistently friendly and very helpful. (Eric, thanks for your help w/the room change and our bags!) The resort food is quite good, and the cocktails in the library bar are innovative and excellent. Exceptional mixologist. Our room was large and comfortable. Even though we never used the kitchen it was nice to have the full sized refrigerator/freezer. Our only real complaint is the lack of an actual beach. Lots of nice, flat sand, but on a seawall.

Alaia Staff
The hotel was amazing in itself but the people were the most incredible part of my two week stay at Alaia. Everyone was incredibly positive and helpful, Eric is an amazing person. I’ll definitely be coming back to enjoy Belize as well as this amazing resort.

Stranded at Alaia Belize
We had a fabulous week (3 days longer than planned due to the weather in Dallas). The hotel was wonderful. Every staff member made me feel welcome. The all-inclusive was a great deal for us but not well advertised. Stephanie saved us because of our Bonvoy Status. Bruno and Adrian were great in the restaurants. Elicia was our favorite at the Sea Salt. Caroline was always around the pool. Tina was great at the pool bar. Krystal was wonderful at the front desk. Johan was an unbelievable mixologist but needs better marketing. The beach area was fine for us. There is a small area to get into the ocean. If you want 7 miles of beach, go to Grand Cayman. Eric and Elvis were a huge help at the front. We reserved a Cabana each day and was very a good deal for my pale skin. Autograph Collection has never let us down. The journey includes flying into Belize City then a short (15 min) commuter plane to San Pedro Island. Alaia had a taxi waiting for us for the 5 min ride to the resort. It is a great location for diving the reef in Belize. We will go back.

A repeat visit.
Eric and Elvis both made our visit very pleasant. Lucita took great care of us at the rooftop. Loved sitting on our balcony every day with views of the water. The snorkel trip was fun. Rudy and Juan kept us comfy & pointed out all the sea life. We’ve done the shark alley before as well as the snorkel. Really enjoyed it. Was glad to use the life jacket as a boost . No shame even if you are fit.
