Best Trip Ever at Alaia!!!
A wonderful time with my sorority sisters at Alaia! Everyone was so kind, helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed EVERYTHING- the accommodations, the programs, the food, the staff! A special thank you to Jolene, Licia, Moises, Catalina and Andrew!!!! Really, everyone was great. I wish I could recall each name.

Vacation
We came here after visiting Placencia first, it was such a great experience. The hotel gives off a Miami vibe... very clean and sheek! It's an excellent place and staff!! Jolene at the service desk and Chris the bartender were amazing, both went above and beyond.

A Resort for All Tastes
We enjoyed a fantastic week at this resort as a family traveling with teenagers. This resort offers both families and couples (and I would even say singles) everything you would need to have a lovely week in Belize. Whether your goal is to get out in the water and see wildlife or just relax in a Caribbean setting, you will be able to achieve your wishes at this hotel. We stayed in one of the Reef House suites, which offered a smaller and more family type of setting just next to a quiet pool and right in front of the beach. These rooms have doors to the outside with direct access to either the beach or the pool. We really enjoyed our front furnished porch with fantastic water views and a feeling of privacy. You can tell that the rooms were recently renovated, and the quality of the furnishings is excellent, but not so fancy that you are worried about bringing in some sand or your wet bathing suit. Having a kitchen is particularly useful when traveling with kids, but you certainly don’t need to use it as the hotel has multiple restaurants and there are also restaurants and cafés within easy walking distance or golf cart driving distance of the hotel. There are even two grocery stores that you could walk to from the hotel if you wanted to stock your kitchen. The other area of the hotel in the Alaia buildings - six story tall midrise buildings around the large resort pool - was built completely new at the time of the reef house renovations in approximately 2021. These are a little bit nicer and a little bit bigger than the Reef House, but you won’t have direct access from your front door to the beach or the pool. It looks to me that the resort view rooms and the ocean view rooms are only different based on how high they are in the building. Ocean view probably begins on the third or fourth floor and below that is resort view. Most of the rooms face in the same direction towards the pool and the ocean, but the lower levels won’t be able to see over some of the ocean villas and thus don’t have the ocean view. The balconies look gorgeous in the new buildings and if you are an outdoor person, you will have some private and lovely outdoor space at this resort. We thought the breakfast in the sea salt restaurant was superb. I am talking a buffet that you might find at a Four Seasons hotel. There were wonderful local fruits and many offerings of hot and cold varieties, as well as pastries of all sorts, for any pallet - with some variations each day along with the ability to order à la carte from the menu as part of the buffet or separate from the buffet. We ate breakfast at the hotel almost every day and really enjoyed it. We also thought the food in the sea salt restaurant was high-quality at dinner and at lunch and would recommend it wholeheartedly. We can’t comment as well on the food at the other restaurants, but we would say that the terrace bar food (the one night we ordered) was not at the same level as the sea salt restaurant. We thought that the people working at this hotel were overall very pleasant to interact with and showed genuine kindness to the guests. My comments in the constructive criticism side are pretty minor. I would recommend to the Housekeeping team that they give guests the option of keeping their towels unless they put them on the floor. A number of days our towels were taken from racks after just 1 use, and not replaced, which seemed odd. I would recommend to only take towels when able to replace them at the time, unless they have been left on the floor. I would also make one note of caution to families staying in a reef house suite. The master bathroom has no door between the bedroom and the bathroom. This includes the toilet, which can cause one to feel a little self-conscious when using the bathroom during the night. There is a second bathroom, but it shares a pretty thin door with the second bedroom and has a similar issue. Just be aware of this going into it so that it doesn’t surprise you! Overall, this is a lovely resort on a beautiful spot and offers facilities that can make all members of even a large family quite happy during their vacation. It is neither a bargain nor expensive, but somewhere in between, and it is an excellent value for the level of the facilities and all of the options available.

Stay here
While the price reflects it, this hotel is the perfect amount of luxury. The staff is so friendly and welcoming (especially Kdrian at the Deck) and the pool, beach, rooms are all nice. It isn’t a beach to swim in but more so admire. It’s the perfect location for walking to Belize Pro dive and diving.

Best Resort! Best Wedding Venue! Best Service! Best Accommodations!
We had our wedding at Alaia with about 50 guests. The wedding, resort, and service exceeded our expectations. The wedding team went above and beyond what we even imagined. They were helpful, listened, gave great suggestions, and surprised us at times. The flowers, the food, the music, the tables, the lighting, the beach setting, etc. It far exceeded our expectations. Some of our friends said it was the best wedding and wedding food they have ever had. We wish we could get married again to repeat our experience. We miss Alaia so much! We cannot wait to go back again.
