Eric was Amazing
My day was amazing. Eric did an awesome job at explaining everything to us about the hotel things to do in the city. Make sure we had everything that we needed coming and going from the room such a beautiful property. Everything was clean fresh.

Studio Room at Alaia Belize
For our anniversary trip we stayed at the beautiful Alaia Marriott Hotel. Our room was in the tower near the main pool. Everything was clean & well maintained. Food was delicious. The staff was so kind. Elvis in the lobby was both knowledgeable and helpful. He not only told us about things not to miss at the resort, but also gave us more information about the entire island. Great experience!

The Alaia Experience with Elvis
We had the best experience at The Alaia Belize. The best service by far, especially Elvis. When you come find Elvis….he is friendly, knowledgeable, and super helpful. From the special coffees to the local recommendations, he was on point and definitely made our trip worth it! Thanks Elvis!

San Pedro is rustic; Alaia is anything but…
I took my husband here for his 50th birthday. We stayed at this property as it was the only Marriott property and it had a highly recommended dive shop on site. I'm really happy we made this choice; the Alaia was amazing! From the very first moment we arrived, we were greeted by Eric. He was delightful, thoughtful and welcoming. He assisted with our bags and got us comfortable while we waited to check in. While the island is rustic, there is nothing rustic about the Alaia! There is an open air atrium in between the enclosed lobby and one of the Restaurants. The check in process was relatively smooth, but I will say that we received several emails in advance of our stay that were confusing. The Alaia was joining systems with Marriott still, so some emails came from the old system that looked fake like phishing and I had to call to confirm. Other emails were directly from Marriott but not accurate, like inviting us to upgrade our stay when the property was already sold out. Regardless, the actual check in process was easy and our room was ready. Our room, we later realized, was the smallest and most modest floorplan they have available. We booked 3-4 months in advance, but they were already sold out except that room type. It had a comfy bed, a lovely little balcony, a tiny peak of the ocean, and a view of the pool. There was a sunbed on the balcony that was nice too. The room was small but nicely appointed with a safe and fridge, closet, etc. The shower was good sized. The bathroom had a sliding barn door style door, which I don't like because there isn't really any privacy at all, and in a small room that can be problematic depending on how well you know the person you are staying with...we've been married 20 years so it isn't an issue for us. The food at the restaurants were all really lovely. The conch chowder at the place down by the dive shop was my favorite! The hangover breakfast sandwich at the place by the pool was an absolute must have (and a must share because that thing was huge)! The guys at the pool bar were my favorite bartenders. My husband was able to do 7 dives!!! We rented the golfcarts from the hotel and had fun driving all over the island. We did an excursion back to the mainland to climb Mayan pyramids too. All of the activities that were coordinated were fantastic and very small groups, 5-10 people. When we went to check out, again Eric was there to hold our bags and assist us with a ride back to the airport. It was a really lovely experience, and I would recommend strongly compared to all other hotels on San Pedro.

Wonderful stay!
We stayed at Alaia for our honeymoon. The resort is beautiful and the staff was amazing! We dined under the stars, Kadrien and Minnie attended to our every little need during dinner. They went above and beyond! Blanca at the front desk was always very helpful and had a welcoming smile! Thank you for making our stay wonderful! Lisa Butler
