Great hotel near shopping centre
Good hotel right next to the shopping centre. We stayed in a basic room which was quite small. Bathroom was small as well and the shower was not great. Tea/coffee was provided and a microwave which was great. Definitely would stay here again but maybe an upgraded room.

Great Hotel
This was my first time back to Hawaii after 37 years and the first time for my wife. The team at the hotel made us feel very welcome. The service was fantastic. We had cocktails on the top floor during happy hour one night and went back a second time for full dinner. Very close to the Aka Moana shopping centre and only a few minutes to downtown Waikiki. Highly recommend the Hotel. We will be back

Going back to HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS next yr…
Im still here-leaving tuesday. But something specific is missing-was in my checkin bag when we got here-gone when i wentvto get it last night(saturday)—wanted to wear it today. I already know mentioning anything to hotel mgmt will achieve nothing. Im only letting other future guests know-so theyre aware. When u stay at a ‘pricier’hotel during higher occupancy-you have this false sense of security and trust. Never again. It isnt the item or its value bc it wasnt expensive—-its the principle—i never buy myself anything. All of it goes to my kids first-this whole trip is for one of my kids-but i bought myself a new sweater just so i could have something cozy to wear while i watched her compete in her vball tournament this mirning. Was the first thing I packed. I guess it looked cozy to whoever left w it also. I’ll at least let front desk know for tmrw-no need to clean out my rm until i check out—thx ala moana

Worst hotel experience
By far the worst hotel experience. - No drinking water provided, and management refused to serve water - No kettle so there's no access to hot water - Inconsistent water heater - No provided overnight kit (see photo) - Bad coffee (really bad) - Provided coffee maker poorly cleaned and still wet inside - Management refused all basic requests like utensils, plates, glasses, etc - Overcrowded elevators, there's always a queue. We will not come back here. Please stay away.

Poor customer service
We stayed here for a family vacation and on the 1st night we were here the ceiling began leaking while we were asleep and all of our things were wet. We had to pack up all of our things to move to a different room, just for them to move us back the next day as unfortunately this hotel has sold their rooms to a private company that rents them out as “condos” on third party sites such as booking.com which is who we went through so we can only stay in the room which has a leaky ceiling with mold. None of this was in the fine print as well, so we were completely unaware of all of this when we arrived. Manager said they would comp the parking for the inconvenience, but on the day of checkout he back peddled calling me and my husband a liar as he said he never said that. He said he was only going to comp 2 nights. Terrible customer service on their part as we were inconvenienced significantly as I am 6 months pregnant having to pack and unpack all my things because of their mistakes. The least they could have done was take care of the customer service with the parking. Not only that, but we were given a late check out by the owner of the condo which they emailed to us and when we got up to our room our key did not work so there we are at the front counter arguing with the representative when I clearly have an email showing the late checkout. So we have to wait for them to get the owner on the phone to confirm, again calling us liars. Like did I create the email myself stating this information? It was just a bad experience that honestly put a huge damper on the babymoon that I was supposed to be having with my husband. Do not stay here and also do not book anything through booking.com.
