DON"T BOOK - there are better hotels in Atlanta with better staff
I booked this hotel for my college son and his friends. I paid in advance so they would not have an issue at check in. Imagine my surprise when my 20 year old son called and the hotel was asking how they were paying. I offered to give my card via phone or email and was told they could not do that. This created a frustrating experience that was not resolved in any type of way that ever makes me want to stay at this hotel or any marriot property again. Former gold member saying kiss off - you had one job to do - take the reservation. you failed.

Reasonably comfortable two-night stay, but you need ear plugs/white noise
Stayed two nights. Location within walking distance of several attractions and restaurants, and easily reachable by subway. Nice view from the 36th floor. Fast elevators with very short wait. No noise from the street, but I could hear some conversations in the rooms nearby and a frequent intermittent noise that sounded like a train (I assume it was the elevator). Ear plugs and white noise essential. The room had old carpet, but was clean and reasonably well appointed (coffe maker, cooler, water bottles), with the exception of a few lapses: desk lamp not plugged in (and it was difficult to reach the outlet behind the desk), phone not working. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Plenty of well located power sockets. Well lit desk area (with the lamp plugged in). Bathroom with everything in working order and standard toiletries. Wifi was on the slow side, and it took several attempts to get the login page on my laptop (not an uncommon occurrence in many hotels). Friendly staff.

DO NOT BOOK!
DO NOT BOOK! The elevator takes 10-15 minutes which made me late for work and I wasn’t able to get breakfast. My room key needed to be reset 1-3x per day to get to my floor on the elevator. They have no concierge and only have 1 person in the lobby to handle check in or any other issue you may have… which you will to get your card to work to get to your floor?

Exemplary housekeeping
This hotel was built in the 1970’s and the upkeep is very good. Service in all areas is very friendly. The food on the breakfast buffet was quite good with a good selection of food. We accidentally left the Do Not Disturb sign on and asked for late afternoon towel service. Instead they cleaned the whole room. The beds were perfect. I would stay here again!
