Nah, Pick Another Hotel
This orientation of this hotel is odd, it's not clean, and the food isn't good. The rooms are oddly laid out, which I guess is because of the building's shape. Upon check-in, I wiped down the desk, and it was dusty as if it hadn't been cleaned. The sink was visibly dirty with hair and gook in it. When my room service arrived, the glass was dirty with a chunk of something (food?) on it. The details make or break a hotel stay, and this Westin clearly isn't paying enough attention to the details.

Great hotel, but could do better with some services...
The one thing that kept it from being a 5 was no valet for luggage. We valeted our car, but there was no one there for luggage. We got it up the elevators fine, but...I would expect better from that caliber of a hotel. It is a hike up to the lobby desk to check in. The elevators are a bit confusing. We were on the 45th floor and could hear the service elevator. I wear ear plugs, so perhaps bring some. Our view was Olympic park, so nice. We went to the bar area in the lobby for drinks and a dessert. It was busy. There is a gift shop. There is a Hard Rock across the street. We had been years ago and ate at the top. If you haven't done that, would recommend.

No Ownership of Security
I went to this Westin location to enjoy bringing in the new year downtown. Unfortunately, someone broke into my room and stole my whole purse in Phone. Turns out the door lock mechanism worked in properly, and there were no cameras in the hallways of the hotel to show which Thief went into my room. Weston stated the door like feature indicated we did not properly close the door all the way despite my video showing that their mechanism doesn’t always close properly. They took no ownership or at least part ownership of the issue and as a result of that, I advised guest to be mindful of your safety at this hotel because if you file a claim, Weston is gonna figure out every way, not to provide any compensation I won’t be staying there again

Def not soundproof rooms!
My folks stayed here in 1979 and I remember them talking about this hotel and how fancy and tall it was. Def true although certainly not sound proof and we must have been on a floor with pets as there was a dog barking for about 30 mins at midnight. Other than that everything you would expect from a Westin!

Novelty stay with ho-hum rooms other than view.
Beds and pillows comfortable. Rooms small. Curtains would not open in half of window. Toilet did not flush properly. No hotel self parking available and valet atrociously expensive at $60 per night. Sundial restaurant rotation nonfunctional and requirement of entree purchase per person with least expensive entree $60, almost all ( if not all) of these fish. Employees friendly and helpful in lobby.
