Felt like a Mexican Riviera Resort
We stayed in on of the suites, it was one bedroom and one living room area. Fabulous views of lake and golf course. It felt like we were in one of the resorts in Mexico

Not worthy of the Marriott Westin brand name!
The rooms are in a bad shape. AC’s trickling water all night like an open water tap in your room all night. The bed was miserable with springs poking at some places. Shower door seals leaked water into the room all the way down to the dresser. This was my second stay in two months at the same property and had no option since attending a 3 day event. Room service not done on one day at all, another day was partially done. Reached out to the front desk and they asked me to come back down so they could give me another room. Met the property manager at the reception who was adamant to disregard what the other person had said and told me to go back as he could not accommodate me into another room category! The categories- lake view and pool view (which was mine). Coffee maker had two coffee pouces of coffee, everything else was requested to be sent up. No tea, creamers. Sugar etc from both my stays so I assumed they do not keep that and it is purely something one has to request which the reception stated otherwise. Look for other places when around this area. This hotel absolutely not!

Closed Facilities in October
This was a beautiful resort with such amazing potential. From the website, we felt it would be a wonderful place for a couple days to lounge by the pool, have lunch outdoors overlooking the lake, and booking a spa appointment. The grounds were stunning. But after we checked in and started exploring the resort, we were shocked to find that it was basically a ghost town with nearly everything closed. We returned to the desk to ask why and were told that it was off season. It was 90 degrees out, but off season?! So we went over to the Hilton nearby to see if it was any different there and they said the same thing - it was just a really quiet time of year for them. I did get the explanation that they tend to only be busy if the strip is so busy that people have to stay further outside the city. It seemed like a long drive back to other restaurants besides ones by the Hilton. One entire pool level was closed for the season, and the other was only open until 5 p.m. the day we arrived (and locked before 4 p.m. the next day). The hot tub and waterslide were both completely closed. In the afternoon, the only place to get a snack was the lobby bar. The coffee shop was open only until 1 p.m. but it was a good Starbucks when it was open. The room was fine and had a nice little kitchennette area. The shower could use major maintenance but it worked. We were comfortable there, but it was a far cry from being a full-service resort with so much closed. If you are going for a quiet place to sit overlooking the water with the relaxing sound of waterfall fountains, it's ideal for that and something I really enjoyed.

Had a fine stay at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Henderson
Our stay here was very good. After making our reservation, we had second thoughts after reading the negative reviews but decided to stay here. We didn't have problems. Our room was fine and spacious and the a/c was effective and quiet. The upper pool was good sized (though not the extravaganzas found at some places on the Strip) and there were lifeguards. I didn't try the lower pool, which I think is more for kids. The fitness room was good sized though the equipment was somewhat limited (treadmill, stationary bikes, elliptical, free weights is what I remember). The lounge has a good view of the fountains and lake. There are outdoor seating areas on the patio outside the lounge. We tried Rick's Cafe for breakfast; it was very good and most items were in the $16-22 range for a full breakfast, which while a bit pricey wasn't too shocking in an upscale resort. I think the hotel is non-gambling; at least, I didn't see any when I was there.

Beautiful resort!
This was our second stay at the Westin Lake Las Vegas. It really is one of the prettiest resorts we have stayed at. Beautiful quiet setting on the lake with the mountains as a backdrop. We had a glitch checking in as my daughter booked with her Marriott points for our 40th anniversary at the DT Westin. Alexis was the check in clerk that kept working with us to get things right. (Since it was our daughter's points there was nothing she could do to change the location and we couldn't get ahold of our daughter.) We ended up paying for the room and she got us the best rate possible. Alexis also up upgraded us to a king sweet overlooking the lake and Mountains. The room (2009) was clean, nice, and very comfortable with an outdoor balcony. The pool area was large and beautiful with cute "kids" as lifeguards. We ate both nights at Rick's restaurant. They have the best lobster mac and cheese that I had the last time we were there! My husband enjoyed his halibut. We loved the cream of mushroom soup too! Catherine was our server and was very friendly and attentive. The manager, Lou, also came over and chatted with us. Nice live music in the lobby after dinner! They have the most incredible staff in the hospitality profession I have experienced at the Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa!
