    Industrial

    I was in the North Tower. The room was spacious, but dated with a musty odour. The bathroom could just about fit one person. The dining area is very busy and noisy. Not the place to relax after a long day. There were often delays at check-in and the concierge was remarkably unhelpful (possibly a bad day) The lifts are very slow, though they are being upgraded. There were notices (sheets of paper) about this fixed to the walls! A very big hotel run more as a factory. I suspect brief stays and the conference trade are their focus.

    This building from the 70s has some challenges

    The location is good on Queens Quay by the ferry terminal. And only a 10 minute walk from Union Station. When you approach the hotel, you encounter a big set of stairs leading to a door that’s usually locked, or you can enter via the steep parking ramp. I think there was an accessible entrance around the side , but it felt like an afterthought. The room was nice - comfortable bed, view of the waterfront. Housekeeping was impeccable. Sunday night, there was a malfunction that had all the fire alarms going off at 4 am for a solid 20 minutes. Monday morning the sound of drilling started at 9 am from work on the elevator adjacent to my room. (I had noticed a couple elevators out of service leading to long waits to get on an elevator during peak times.) The front desk informed me after the fact there would be intermittent construction noise between 9 and 5. The next morning drilling noise began at 730 am, so I guess information and communication are not their strong suit.

    Bad beginning but overall good stay

    Location with great view. Services very good (pool, gym, elelctric bikes). Interior old fashioned, in the guest room too (smells old too). Very odd: arrived tired at 7 p.m. from airport, room was not ready!! We got Can$ 50 for the bar... cold comfort...room ready at 8:15 p.m. never experienced something like that before..

He spent his time doing research and share all relevant information and website link for us in order for us to accomplish our traveling plans.     Few days visiting Toronto

    Absolutely excellent, everything we hoped for, comfortable beautiful room with great view. Staff friendly and professional and worked very hard. Would recommend and will certainly return to this hotel.
