Not great
I was disappointed in this hotel and it did not live up to the Ritz Carlton name. The rooms are very small. There was no place to put my empty suitcase without it being in the way. The bathroom and overall room could use an update. The concierge was not that helpful and told me she didn't know any easy hikes to recommend for Joshua's Tree. I left my sunglasses at the spa and asked the front desk. They called lost services who said they didn't have them. I called the spa myself and they informed me that the sunglasses had been turned over to lost services. I had to go back to front desk and this time they tracked them down. Same poor service happened when I had 2 packages delivered. I was not informed that anything arrived for me. When I inquired they delivered one package to my room but not the other. So I had to go back to front desk and wait for someone to track the other package down. Shouldn't they have called me when a package arrived. If I had not asked for packages they would have never called me. Paying over $4000 for 3 nights should ensure better service. This hotel would be a hard pass.

Great location and lovely staff
We opted for a firepit terrace room, but arrived in the middle of a heatwave so didn't need to use it; I imagine this would be really lovely in cooler weather. The room was very comfortable, if a little dated, but with good AC, which was really appreciated when it was 45C outdoors. The staff were excellent and a real credit to the brand. . The grounds are beautiful. Dinner at State Farm restaurant was good but not excellent. We very much enjoyed our stay, and would return to this hotel, largely due to the lovely staff.

Disappointed stay
Just checked in yesterday and I’m quite disappointed with my stay so far. My husband, Patrick Daly, is a lifetime titanium member, and when we called to check on our check-in time, the front desk staff was unhelpful and didn’t even acknowledge his membership. We weren’t looking for special treatment, just information about check-in, and we were told it’s always at 4 PM so that’s when you can check in. Additionally, the WiFi has been unreliable, and there’s no service. The menu website was down, so I had to request a printed menu to bring to my room. We also found that there was no heartburn medication available, on site there “just out today” and they were out of sourdough bread as well. “Just out today” For an expensive resort you would think they would have it together.

LEAVING HAPPY!
What a wonderful weekend we had at the beautiful Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage resort. The location is a stunner - set up on a hill with a fabulous view. The hotel grounds and common areas are absolutely beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable, super clean and lots of amenities. We especially loved the pretty pool, the great gym and the hospitality by Melanie in the Club Lounge and Geo in valet/bell. We loved meeting Nathan - he was incredibly welcoming and warm! We really cannot wait to plan our next trip.

Great visit. Excellent staff and service.
We stayed at the height of summer when it was very, very hot. The hotel is in an amazing location high above the desert valley. Some really good views. We booked a firepit room (no idea why it was 105 degrees!!) and it looked amazing. Huge room with 2 very comfortable beds. Great pool and pool bar. Staff were amazing. Really freindly (JR by the pool and Gerald in the restauarant).
