I booked my stay through expedia for 10 days. I prepaid my reservation however I could not stay more than 1 day and had to check out and find another hotel. 1- The hotel's rooms are too old. I was shocked despite the price was higher than Westin next door. I could not turn off the A/C because the controller did not work. They could not fix so they changed my room. 2- The new room i had had exactly the same problem. Apparently you just cannot turn of A/C. I talked to another couple in the elevator and they told they had the same problem. 3- I woke up ann stiff due to this A/C and hence I had to check out. 4- Hotel is very dirty. In fornt of the elevators, there are trash boxes and patrons leave their trash there. So you continously smell trash until next monring. Despite i booked 10 days i had to leave. They did not issue a refund and despite that i didnt care because i could not stay. The are moneymongers. Even the guy in front. He asked me if i needed a cab and i said yes. He asked where to and i said W hotel. Then he said you can find a cab outside. This is the mentality. So i suggest to stay clear.

Donot book with them
Mediocre front desk service , premier room was less than the chains, old and ordorous, the promise free cancellation and then they dont honor it! Will ask Delta to remove it from promotion. Not worth the price!

The location is excellent, it's right in the heart of Union Square, and everything is within walking distance!

I stay in this hotel a lot, my SF hotel when I have a car and I am in town for business (location, etc.). The staff is very nice and I need to point out that Sheily at the front desk helped me out, when I was in a pickle. This is why I come here.

Safe, convenient and clean
We had a nice and safe stay here after our flights to nyc were cancelled. The front desk was kind and helpful, organised a room for us at 9am after travelling all night from Australia. The rooms are big, while our bathroom felt tiny, it wasnt a problem. The iced water in the lobby is an awesome little touch. Location in union square is great and we would stay here again. - AdvisoryDue to a recent San Francisco ordinance, we will be having to perform maintenance on our building’s Geary St. façade starting mid-November 2023. The working hours will be from 8am to 5pm, Monday-Friday. During this time, there will be scaffolding erected on the Geary St. façade. To avoid any disruptions to our guests, we have placed all these rooms off-market. Rest assured we do not anticipate any disruption to your clients, as all guests will be placed in rooms away from the façade.
