Amazing location!
After our reservation was rudely cancelled with no notice by Wyndam La Quinta, this was the only hotel within the vicinity that had any vacancy. There was a NFL game, the Redbull Flugtag, and a Gabriel Iglesias show all happening the night we flew into town. We told the front desk what happened to us and they were super accommodating and very empathetic. It was such a warm welcome to a long travel day. The hotel is super nice, very clean rooms, great pool and fitness center as well. The location is beautiful overlooking the water. We were visiting my mother-in-law, so we didn't get to use all of the amenities but I will definitely be looking to stay here again the next time we are in town. They have a couple onsite restaurants but you're also walking distance to a ton more. There is also a streetcar that stops right in front of the hotel and it's free to use. We had a very pleasant stay to what could've been a disaster of a family trip.

Wonderful Stay
We had a lovely stay at the Marriott Water Street before our NYE Cruise. The rooms were perfect and we had an amazing view of Harbour Island and boats. Highly recommend staying here. This is a very large and busy hotel but the service is impeccable.

Not super dog friendly
Have been to this hotel many times. It is a good hotel in the middle of a busy area of town. So expect lots of traffic coming in on the weekends. Concert , hockey games, events will make it super busy. The rooms are great and the atmosphere is fun. My biggest problem with this trip is that THIS HOTEL IS PET FRIENDLY. I say that because a lot of reviews say otherwise and get upset. We paid $150 a night to bring our dog with us. My problem is they have no where dog friendly to let your dog go to the bathroom. Now for a walk, you are right on river walk. But no grassy pet relief area. They will tell you to go down to this alley way area that is mostly sand and no doggie bag station. It’s a little walk so our dog rarely made to pee. But there is dog poo everywhere. Not their fault but gross. Also it’s very unsafe. I made my husband get up for the 6 am walk and I was glad I did. There are no working lights and I had to use my cell phone light. Also that morning we were met with two homeless people. Just be observant and take a friend. But over all I would say pick a more pet friendly hotel unless you are looking for this particular hotel for location. Also no dog menus for food or beds/toys and such. Which isn’t expected but always a treat when we stay in a hotel that has it. But the relief area needs to be fixed.

Worst hotel ever
We went here for a bachelorette party, the hotel was aware of this. We call ahead of time and even upgrade to a luxury suite with living room, dinning, 3 bathrooms 3 queen beds and a king bed. This was a giant suite and was pretty expensive. When we arrived they knew our friend was getting married we check in around noon and played music and went to the pool. Around 5 pm all of us got back to the room and we played music while we were getting ready. At 6:50 pm security was at our door, seriously??! Security at 6:50 pm ? Saying that they have complaints about us being to loud, we were why at playing music, just getting ready for dinner at 9:00pm that night, but since they were so disrespectful and ruined our trip, we decided to let all of our bottles of champagne, robes and all the the cute stuff we bought and spent tons of money on behind and even the cake, and went celebrate outside the hotel so they won’t sent security again. This was very early, not 10 or 11 pm the trip was completely ruined by this hotel and I will never recommend this place to anyone who actually wants to have fun or even dance on their own room. Security will be called, we had 3 suits 901,902,907 all this were attached and I’m sure the complain came from basic room, that cost just a small Portion of what we paid, service at the restaurant was terrible, server was super rude and slow. We had to stand up to get our own mayo, they were being racist because we were speaking Spanish, we are all American citizens and do speak English. We were born in another country so when we get together we do speak Spanish. We want to let people know about this. I left my very expensive Chanel brooch of 2,700$ it was left in the room we check out at 1:00 pm the housekeepers were all ready to come in the room so I was in a rush and left it behind. I reported this to front desk, security and file a claim online and it was never returned to me. I have leave my Rolex at a different Marriott and they have give it back to me, I even left my 40k ring on the sink once and it was giving back to me at another hotel in Vegas. I just can’t never understand why someone will just steal and don’t give back something that’s obviously expensive and not theirs. My experience was terrible one of the worst ever I will never go back there, this was my mistake for not just staying at the JW instead. Biggest nightmare and headache, we were a group of friends that didn’t see each other for years, so yes I take this disrespect very personal. Worst hotel EVER!!!!!!!!!!

Fantastic hotel in downtown Tampa
Fantastic hotel in the heart of downtown Tampa. The rooms were spacious and immaculately maintained by cleaning staff. We were there for a conference and took advance of the room service. The food arrived in good time and was delicious. The staff we came into contact with were friendly and willing to help. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a great hotel in a central location.
