Nice hotel
Overall the hotel was nice and clean. They did have a couple elevators down but didn’t impact us at all. Parking was a frustrating gimmick. Prior to arrival had confirmed with the hotel the garage for self park, I mean hello $15 vs $50 valet. Well unbeknownst to me or anything on the City of Tampas site that parking garage was closed so I was forced to use their $50 valet. The room was nice however while we booked and were given a King Bed, the bed in actually was not a king sized bed. How do I know you may ask, well the fact is was smaller than my King at home and I travel with a Double Sleeping bag insert and it was roughly the same size as the bed which on a king it is actually smaller than the bed width. Other than that the room was clean, a few small items that were crooked like an outlet cover/picture frame - things the average person may not pay attention to. The lobby area and restrooms could probably use a renovation soon. We did eat at the restaurant outside and while the food was good, the staff seemed very overwhelmed. The Mexican restaurant as well was very good.

Great hotel in a great location
Just finished a delightful three night stay. This is a very large (27 floors) business and convention hotel next to the convention center. It is busy and bustling in a good way. Multiple bars and restaurants in house. Their sister property JW Marriott is across the street. It is directly on the river walk which is lots of fun. Walk to downtown. On the trolley line. Excellent staff at front desk. Rooms very clean and updated. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. The perfect location in Tampa.

Great Tampa Hotel, Lifetime Platinum
Great Tampa hotel walkable to Amalie Arena, Water street and everything Tampa. 25 minutes Uber to St Pete or ten minutes from Ybor City. Make sure you have a meal on the waterfront. Special thanks to Morgan at Anchor and Brine for her incredible service…

Perfectly adequate
The bulk of the cost for this hotel is for the view and being close to the pier, not because it is an extravagant hotel. We chose this hotel because we had a cruise booked and wanted it to be easier to get there in the morning. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were clean and spacious. The pool is an outdoor one so not ideal for when we traveled but I’m sure it’s a great space when it’s warmer out. We ended up ordering room service which was so quick our food was piping hot when it got to us. Overall I would recommend but know that your cost is for location.

Frustration and Impatience
My husband and I travel extensively throughout the world. I have never left a bad review. Never have I ever experienced such a hassle and frustration with a hotel. To valet our car, we waited 45 minutes as there were so many cars to be parked (no self parking option). Were there not enough valets? Upon check out we waited close to an hour for them to retrieve our car. Plus a $50 a night valet charge. Unacceptable at this price point ($670) for a basic room. In addition, 3 elevators were not working either day which caused long lines to get up to your room. The morning of check out, we were on the 25th floor, waited 20 minutes for an elevator and finally clued in to the fact all were full and you had to take one up to the top floor just to step into the elevator. Then you STOPPED AT EVERY FLOOR going down to hoards of people trying to get an elevator. I again am stumped, disappointed and will not choose this hotel again.
