  $800 more for two last nights!

  I have an upcoming reservation at this hotel that was for seven nights for a total of $2000. I’m only coming in for four nights, so I called to change the reservation and keep the same rate per night. The woman on the phone said I needed to stay five nights to keep the rate so I said OK let’s make it a five night reservation. She said I just have to go check with my management team. I was put on hold for about 10 minutes and when she came back, she said great I was able to do it. You are now booked for five nights for a cost of $2800. When I told her I didn’t wanna spend $800 more to stay for two last nights she said that she didn’t have access to the earlier reservation so I was stuck with it. It sucks spending $800 more for last nights because The help desk was no help at all.

  Business trip

  Hotel feels slightly dated. Staff were very polite at check in. Love the $30 credit, Mexican beer tasting hour! Bed was comfortable and room and bathroom were clean.

  Thank you Sam!

  For context, I’m a flight attendant and stay in many hotels around the world each month. Tonight, I was trying to get something to drink and tried 3 different vending machines. Unfortunately, all of them were out of stock. I then came across a friendly employee in the lobby named Sam who told me there was a gift shop but it was about to close in a few minutes. Despite going right away, it had unfortunately just closed. I decided to wait in line at the bar and order a Pepsi. However, that’s when I was approached from behind from Sam asking me if I was able to get what I was looking for and if he was able to help. Instead of purchasing a Pepsi at the bar, he told me to follow him and proceeded to get a Pepsi for me free of charge. I know it may seem like a small gesture, but Sam went out of his way to look for me, help me and for that I’m very grateful. It reminded me that good people and good customer service to still exist in the world we live. Please help me in thanking Sam- I really appreciate his help tonight. -Gage

  Elegant. Fabulous. Great Location

  This hotel is fabulous and elegant. Its location is unbelievably convenient next to the convention center, river walk, free street car stop, one block from the Arena, and three blocks from the cruise terminal and Florida Aquarium. The staff was fabulous and the Anchor & Brine restaurant offers a great outdoor experience with a view of the river. The rooms were clean and spacious. The fitness room is well equipped but there’s a grade separation (steps) connecting two adjoining areas. The sky bridge connector to the JW Marriott across the street is uber convenient with easy access to SiX restaurant and The Beacon (rooftop bar). The river walk is immediately out the back door and spans 2.5 miles, is well lit, and allows for wonderful morning runs or evening walks. It’s hard to imagine that I would stay anywhere else when I return to Tampa.

  Great stay!

  My wife and I had the pleasure to stay at this hotel for our anniversary and to enjoy the football game on Sunday (TB vs 49ers). The hotel was great and we did enjoy ourselves. Pros- from check in to check out everything was great, the staff was amazing and helped navigate the hotel as well as the surrounding areas. The convenience of the hotel to SO many eateries and entertainment was amazing. The restaurants and staff on site were 10/10. Cons- the daily valet was a little pricey but the process to retrieve your car was seamless. The breakfast buffet was pricey and not a lot of options for the price. My BIGGEST complaint is the fact that I left an item (an AirPod, just one AirPod) and called to find out the process to have it sent to me. When I got on the link it stated it would be $40 to send the item to me. I spoke with Garrett and he was VERY unprofessional. I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor to ask a question and he laughed and told me none was available and that they wouldn’t do anything for me. I don’t understand the unprofessionalism about asking to speak to someone higher than him. For everything to be so professional with this establishment I really don’t understand him being that way, that’s very disheartening. I would rate our overall stay the highest that I can go, but with the attitude of Garrett and his demeanor towards the situation I can not. I would love a response from someone in management.
