  A Truly Pleasant Stay

  A Truly Pleasant Stay We absolutely loved our stay! The hotel is well-maintained, tastefully designed and decorated. We loved the fresh orchids all over the building - such a beautiful touch. It is perfectly located right on Orchard street, where shopping and food choices abound. It is only a few minutes from the subway and a bus stop. Our room had a spectacular view of the city yet still quiet at night. Beddings and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Now… for the real stars of the hotel who made our stay memorable. We would like to thank the following staff: 1. Sarah Lim at the front desk - welcomed us with such genuine warmth. She sent over a welcome platter of fruit. We casually mentioned that is was our 40th wedding anniversary and she sent some treats. We were so touched. 2. Ellen at the breakfast check-in. What a wonderful way to start our morning! She always had a sweet demeanor, with a friendly smile. I looked forward to seeing her. 3. Choo, Yul, and Hailey at the M lounge. Choo was very patient in helping us with the printer. He is polite and conversational. Yul had a great sense of humor and was very chatty. Hailey was always attentive and efficient, noticing when to replenish drinks. She was always charming. 4. The lady behind the noodle station is always cheerful. She also works at the M lounge. 5. Latif, one of the doorman. Very friendly and notices us. 6. Yan Yi - kept our room tidy, fresh, and clean. She remembered to keep the sheet in the bed that we requested. 7. Xing Chao, the housekeeping floor supervisor. She was always cheerful whenever she saw us. Always making sure the room was clean and asked if we need anything else to make our stay comfortable. 8. Karen from 27th floor housekeeping. She was a delight, very warm, sweet and personable. We enjoyed our interactions with her. While she wasn’t the housekeeper on our floor, we met her one night when she was doing the turn-down for a staff who couldn’t work that day. Above and beyond the excellent amenities, it’s the personal touch that the above-mentioned staff showed us that made our stay memorable. Highly recommend Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel!

  Wonderful stay and good service provided

  This is our 4th visits to the Marriott Singapore Tang Plaza and we really enjoy to stay here. We visited the lounge for a few nights unfortunately we were not very good in English. We would like to thank Xin Yi who patiently explained to us everything especially the ingredients of the cocktail and hotel operation timing. Definitely will be back again next time.

  Can’t go wrong basing out of the Marriott.

  Best place to stay. Breakfast a bit pricey so go elsewhere and enjoy the culture. Rooms clean and as expected. Service is excellent.

  It would have been a perfect stay if not for the lifts!

  We booked four rooms, including two suites, during the New Year holiday. The hotel's location is excellent, with direct access to the subway and a food court beneath it. However, the executive lounge is rather small, making it difficult to find a seat during evening cocktails due to long queues. On the bright side, breakfast at Crossroads Buffet is outstanding, with an impressive variety that makes choosing what to eat a pleasure. We did face inconvenience when we had to bring our luggage inside from the road entrance without assistance at the main door. Despite these positives, the lifts were the biggest letdown; only three out of four were operational, with the fourth under repair for several months. Hopefully, lift upgrades will take place soon.

  Old but Iconically Gold – A True Landmark in Orchard Road

  Marriott Tang Plaza is a long-standing hotel along Orchard Road that has clearly been well maintained over the years. The rooms are comfortable, the common areas are tidy and functional, and the property continues to operate smoothly despite its age. There were some minor elevator issues during the stay, but it was good to know that upgrades are already planned. What stood out most was the service. The staff were consistently polite, attentive, and professional. Thank you to the M Club Lounge team, especially Yusuf, Coleen, Choo, and their supervisor, along with the lounge associates who made the experience pleasant and welcoming. I’d also like to acknowledge Adrian from Concierge, Jen from Guest Services, and a member of the housekeeping team whose service was courteous and reliable. A simple dining highlight was the soup and noodle station at Crossroads Restaurant—comforting and enjoyable, especially after a long day. This stay was also personally inspiring. With years of experience in hotel visual branding, I couldn’t help but notice the potential for subtle lobby updates or seasonal styling using existing resources. Small layout adjustments can make a meaningful difference. Thank you, Marriott Tang Plaza, for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I look forward to visiting again.
