  Outstanding service and great location

  This elegant hotel locates at the heart of Orchard Road, the ultimate shopping destination, with public transportation just metres away. The moment we stepped out of the taxi, we were warmly welcomed by the doorman. The front desk check in staff were friendly, efficient and professional. Our room, as in all our previous stays, is well appointed, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The wide windows provide a great view of the city. Our room is always serviced nicely. The highlight of our many stays is always the M Club. It offers a fine selection of cuisines and beverages. The staff such as Choo are all very welcoming and helpful. We were very pleasantly surprised that Zul remembers us and our morning coffee preferences from our last visit in April! Needless to say, we thoroughly enjoyed our coffees. I have dietary restrictions. Chef Tan Cheng Chwee kindly took the care to make my spinach omelette. This kind of outstanding hospitality brings us back year after year. At this time of the year, we get to enjoy the beautiful Christmas decorations in the lobby as well. We highly recommend this hotel!

  Amazing hotel ,amazing welcoming ,special thanks to Sarina

  We were at the hotel on September ,for our parents anniversary . Stayed there for a week. Beautiful and great hotel and location ,close to all attractions. breakfast is great. ! We would like to special thank Sarina, ,from the reception management ,for the warm welcoming us ! She made sure that all of us will get the best service and welcoming on a daily basis , that we can’t wait to stay again at the hotel ! Thank you Sabrina. You made our stay the best. Can’t wait to be back soon.

  Orchard Park Area Hotel - Marriott Tang Plaza

  We stayed 9 nights at the Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel and really enjoyed our stay! We came into town for the F1 Singapore Grand Prix and to do a bit of golfing. Naturally, during the GP, the rates are high, and staying in the Marina Bay area wasn't an option for us. Staying in the Orchard Park area was a great option instead. The hotel is co-located with the MRT station and the ION Orchard Shopping Centre as well as Tang Plaza. So we had plenty of eating options and convenient access to the track via MRT. There were a number of F1 related pop-ups at ION Orchard as well as all over the city! Hotel room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was also spacious, with large walk-in shower and a small vanity. There were several complimentary bathroom items like toothbrush and comb if needed, as well. The door is a sliding door, but private enough if more than one person is staying in the room. The bed was very comfortable. Room also had a small refrigerator as well as tea and coffee and water replenished daily. There's a nice pool area and the gym is a good size. We booked an option including the buffet breakfast and it was really good - many options and types of food to try and a great way to start the day! We found the service to be excellent and everyone pleasant and helpful. Loved out stay and would stay here again. For this class of hotel, they've done an excellent job! Tips: 1) Hawker style food is available in the basement at Tang Plaza (several Michelin brands) and the basement of ION Orchard. Very inexpensive, but good. 2) Cheer stores (like a small convenience store for less expensive beer and soft drinks) as well as snacks - usually can find these near an MRT station 3) Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel is exit 1 from the MRT station 4) Hotel has 24 hour room service if you are out late and need a bite to eat when you return.

  Poor , rude & sloppy concierge service.

  When one pays alot for a comfortable & luxurious stay at the hotel, one does not expect a poor concierge service at front desk. On checking out the concierge was least helpful in terms of helping to find out taxi rates to the airport. Instead the hot & flustered concierge staff was not only unhelpful but very rude & arrogant. After much insistence did he agree to find out. That attitude is damaging to the hotel's reputation. As a seasoned traveller I have never come across concierge showing such bad behaviour. The receptionist on duty that day can testify to this as I believe she was shocked & loss for words when she witnessed the hot tempered concierge being rude to hotel guests. I hope management can rectify this ..but be assured won't be coming back.

  Three Star Hotel in a Five Star Location

  This property sits in a five star location and neighborhood, but rates three stars due to its age, “used” look, and seemingly crumbling infrastructure. The past reviews and comments about the lack of a refreshing look are absolutely correct. The rooms need attention, the hallways need attention, and the common areas need attention. On top of this, the elevator situation is beyond comical…waits of up to 20-minutes were a daily occurrence, frustrated guests vented in their own ways and languages, and no one could figure out why it is taking so long to repair elevators…two of the four were inoperable, leading to some guests opting to take stairs up and down 10+ levels. Location is great, however. Sits right on top the Orchard metro stop and connected to countless malls and shopping venues. Lounge was a good experience, although it was staffed by employees in training and younger staff that have not yet mastered customer service and the value of a smile.
