The ambience, the views and amazing staff keeps up coming back for more!
Before covid my husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 week stays and always splurged on the 4th floor overlooking the beach and ocean as one cannot beat that view. We now rent a condo but we always visit the Sheraton Kauai Resort because we enjoy both RumFire and Lavas. The staff always remember us and warmly welcomes us with a special shout out to Benjie and Noel at RumFire, Gina at Lavas and David who manages both locations. Meeting the General Manager was a highlight and Katie personally arranged for our dinner reservations at RumFire as we arrived on Valentines Day. The filet mignons that were personally presented by the Executive Chef were outstanding and probably the best we've ever eaten. The Chef also surprised and delighted us on another evening with an incredible seafood and rice dinner. We've been visiting this property off and on for approximately 12 years and again it's because of the great beach location, the ambience but especially the wonderful staff. Thanks to all of you and hope to see you again next year! Patty & Mike

Perfect Location - Laid Back Vibe
Wonderful ambience at this Bonvoy property. Would definitely recommend. My room on the 4th floor overlooked the pool and the beach. Just perfect. The beach was great for walking on, and viewing monk seals and turtles that were frequent visitors. Great location. Employees were friendly and efficient. A little bit of a “laid back” vibe which is definitely to my liking. Plenty of places to sit around the property, and the free activities made for a nice change of pace. My lava rock bracelet will be a constant reminder of a great trip.

Great beach location with a few downsides
The grounds are beautiful and the resort has a great location right on the beach. We did not use the jacuzzi outdoors as it looked murky. (We are fussy as we have our own hot tub and know what a clear well maintained tub looks like.) Shower had poor pressure and sink drain did not run well. Beds were a bit soft. Lighting in the room was poor. A/C worked well. Our room was spacious with two queens and was clean. Terrace view was lovely. Not enough space parking for a resort this size. The last night we had to valet park as there were no parking spots left on our side of the complex. Onsite restaurant (Rumfire) was superb for dinner. We tried their other restaurant for breakfast (Lava) - skip that one. Overall a good location and nice outdoor facilities.

Sheraton has declined in value
Nice property, but the value of Respect towards a loyal lifetime platinum elite member has been lost. Requested for an upgrade and was denied, just to be automatically awarded . Asked for an early check-in and was denied and for the trifecta, asked for 1 hour late checkout and was denied. To make it more unpleasant, at 9:24am a staff member was asking when I was leaving while we were finishing breakfast. Really disappointed with this move of rushing you out. Also no bottle water or any breakfast options.. Sheraton on a demise …

Overpriced and left Disappointed
Overall really disappointing, we splurged on this hotel as the last portion of our trip thinking it would be really special. We were incredibly disappointed, the location and rooms were lovely & the property is in a great location near shops/resturants. We felt the service from hotel staff was very rude and unhelpful, the pool was very crowded and the pool itself diddnt feel clean, people reserve chairs very early and leave there things all day without being nearby, we opted to hang out on the beach as it was nicer. There’s a lack of options for breakfast on the property, one small cafe with some ready made meals and black coffee which always had a huge line. There was no assistance with helping with our bags to and from the room, the car park is quite far. Overall I believe with the price you pay the service and quality is simply not worth it. Save your money and book elsewhere
