  Warm, welcoming team and great overall stay

  We really enjoyed our stay here, and the biggest takeaway was how pleasant and welcoming the staff were across the board. From the moment we arrived, both bellmen set the tone for the stay. They were energetic, friendly, and genuinely engaging. They helped with our luggage, coordinated valet, walked us into reception, and made us feel immediately welcomed. Their local recommendations were also excellent—one suggested a nearby Thai restaurant that we ended up loving. Those interactions made a strong first impression and continued throughout the stay. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk agent was friendly and informative. During our visit, we used the restaurant for breakfast and spent time at the bar at Bin480. Every interaction in both outlets was positive. The bartender we spoke with on Sunday night was especially great—very personable and easy to talk to. I wish I remembered his name because he deserves a shoutout. One small note: we were told we would receive a $30 food and beverage credit toward breakfast, but it didn’t appear to be applied. The valet experience was mostly fine, though there were a couple of moments where communication felt a bit slow when requesting the car. It didn’t significantly impact our stay, but with such a strong guest-facing team elsewhere, a bit more consistency here would make the experience feel even more seamless. Overall, every hotel team member we interacted with was professional, kind, and genuinely pleasant. The positive energy from the bellmen, front desk, restaurant, and bar staff really stood out and made this a memorable stay. We would absolutely stay here again.

  Second time as good as the first!

  This was our second stay at this hotel. Like the first (which was during a strike), we had a very nice experience! The entire property was spotless! The public spaces were nice (a little sterile...just needs a little something to warm it up. Maybe it's too many hard surfaces?) The staff were top notch across the board...doorman, front desk, maid service, food/beverage services, etc. We requested to use one of our suite upgrade certificates and that was honored. Wound up in a Junior Suite, which was very nice. Great views and again, spotless. Breakfast was a decent buffet. The staff and manager there are extremely warm and friendly. I believe she is the Manager (we remembered her from last year) is just exceptionally warm, engaging, and welcoming. All in all, we had another great experience and would return.

  Good breakfast and large room

  I stayed for two nights for work in July. Breakfast was very good. I got a large room with a specious bathroom but the hotel didn't have upgraded rooms for me as an Ambassador Elite member available during my stay dates. I've stayed at this hotel several times for work and I'd consider staying again.

  It's a Marriott # Splendid

  Quick response rate, friendly and supportive member of staff, check-in and check-out procedure did go smoothly, breakfast and hotel grounds, facilities clean and tidy. Only issue was, that they close their lounge from Friday to Saturday, which totally ruins the moment and reason to be getting into a Marriott in the first place.

  Great hotel

  The Marriott Union Square was lovely. Rooms, concierge level, gym and public spaces have been tastefully updated. The concierge area has a full course breakfast including delicious coffee. The front desk staff were helpful and kind. Would definitely return.
