Nice stay. Good location. Two very annoying things that made it lose stars

I wrote a long review but it didn’t save. In short, $30 amenity fee very annoying but at least can use it to get dinner but who wants to eat at the hotel when in San Francisco a food mecca. Very annoying and can’t get out of paying. At the restaurant breakfast, the waiter was extremely rude by circling and pointing out the tip box and the suggested tip FOR A BUFFET. 25% suggested are you insane? I am a good tipper but for him to do this the first day and again the second day made me angry. You don’t know me. Why are you assuming that I don’t know that I’m supposed to tip. The service was fine but REALLY circling and pointing it out while handing the bill to me? TACKY. I gave 10% but almost didn’t even do that because I was so annoyed. Do better.

    Ridiculous Microwave Charge

Why does the hotel charge for a microwave that we only need for literally 2 minutes to heat food up? I've been a Bonvoy member forever! Either Marriotts have a microwave oven in the room, let's you use one in the lobby or will bring one to your room without a fee. It fact, the Marriott property on Geary Street offers free use of their microwave in their office. But, nooooo. Fisherman's Wharf charges you $10 for an oven. With all the fees, charges, taxes, etc., bruh let a person use a microwave without a fee. Geez! It is the little things that count! Therefore, poor review for you!

    Centrally located, not noisy hotel

The people at reception and serveurs are the best, all of them willing to solve your needs. There's a Mexican serveur at the restaurant who made us feel at home. The rooms are nice and clean, we slept perfectly well because the hotel isn't noisy at all. Your reservation will include a daily $30 credit to be spent at the restaurant and/or beverages which is ok (we already knew SF is an expensive city so you may spend the same everywhere you go with your family)

    Rip off money grab

Horrible place money grab. Had to pay $90 to park. Made us put down $130 and that we won’t get the $30 back it is used to a credit at restaurant so went there for breakfast and it was so expensive and food was awful. The room wasn’t very good walls were thin so could hear people all night. Over all bad experience.

    Good location

Needed to fly to SF for a medical appointment so it didn’t really matter where I stayed. Rates were high everywhere so I opted to stay here so I could get my clam chowder fix! I was only here one night, pretty much just 12 hours since I arrived after 8pm. Lobby area was bustling with the bar/restaurant right next to the front desk area. I did not partake in any of the amenities due to time constraints. Room was clean and standard for Marriott. AC was quite loud but didn’t keep me awake, Appreciated the deep tub for a nice soak before bed. Would stay again, if the price was right.
