Royalton Mexico
Food was ok, a lot of the restaurants did not have AC, not sure why but it made eating very uncomfortable. Best part of the trip was our waiter Dionisio by the pool. He was amazing and extremely attentive.

Incredible butler, great service
We had a wonderful experience with our butler Miguel whose service was nothing less than exceptional. He went above and beyond and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this resort.

Some good some bad points, would I return ? Nope don’t think I would
Speaking as a none diamond club visitor & UK guest. Close to airport so travelling on a 10+ hour flight from the UK this was a plus, room was fine, great air con, comfy bed. I would say that the hotel needs some TLC, in particular the grounds around the pool need attention, rough on your feet and some sprucing up all around is needed. Good choice of restaurants, however if you are not part of the diamond club, you need grit & determination to get your booking & you will need to go early as a diner. Loved the steakhouse, Indian, but the Italian was bizarre, we were outside in the evening whilst adult guests were beside us in the children’s play area 😂 but, worse was the starter my son had, meatballs n pasta (2meatballs) was the same that my partner had as a main, 2 meatballs but a little more spaghetti!!!! Shocking, meal was not great. I’d say if you are expecting to be stuffed full in the speciality restaurants you will be disappointed, fine for us, but portions are not huge, just saying 🤔 At night the corridors would benefit from some security, some guests were shockingly disrespectful in the early hours, never experienced this in the other 5 different hotels in Mexico I have been to. Coffee outlet was great, super staff, great choice and very efficient. Now to my biggest moan, personally I do not like segregation, sooooo, this hotel has a diamond club and many have this type of ‘premier’ experience in Mexico, but, I have never felt the segregation like in this hotel in anywhere I have stayed before, so will not return. Lastly, is the shocking way in which you have to book the only restaurant that is as a none diamond club payer pre-bookable, the Teppanyaki. Oh dear, take yourself a drink & go around 2pm to 2.15pm (booking starts at 3pm ) to get yourself in the indoor queue, yes it’s lovely food but do I wish to take an hour out of my day to sit in a queue, no, no ,no. I’m all for being fair, but never ever experienced any booking system like this, wow ! There are better ways, talk to your neighbouring hotels 😉

Grand Time @ Cancun
The service was amazing. The bartender Pablo at Martini Mix was the most professional and friendliest. He made the best drinks and educated us on the process of the tequila making process in Mexico. Will never forget his service.

There can be improvements but fantastic in so many ways
We enjoyed our week at the Royalton Riveria very much. All servers work very hard and it was a joy to be with them. They always greet you, friendly and attend to what you ask for. We went to upscale restaurants in NY and we don’t get that level of service. My 2 boys have severe allergies. They always considered it and did their vey best to meet their diet restrictions. I saw comments about Ac. I understand why people find it warm. But a very important fact is many of the restaurants and bars are designed as open air places. They’re not enclosed by walls. I was pleasantly surprised by the Marche buffet. It had so many high quality food stations. My family of four ate plates and plates of the foods. The bands, Vibe team and entertainment are fantastic! My family and I had tons of fun. A big thank you to the staff that go their 110 percent.
