    Always welcoming

    My family and I always enjoy our stay at Riu. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Entertainment is great as usual. My kids love love it there.

    Nice and fairly quiet hotel

    Really nice hotel The food is probably the best quality all inclusive food I have ever had. Everything was genuinely delicious. Really good quality drinks & having 'table' service to our sunbeds on the beach was lovely. Very well maintained grounds & beautifully clean beach area. My only negative and the reason to drop a point was that the sea in front of the hotel is cordoned off for watersports etc but the area left for swimming is way too shallow. By the time you hit the barrier ropes you are still only waist deep so theres no chance of a proper swim or snorkel.

    Good and bad

    This is a good hotel which could be fantastic! Food is of a high standard better than expected, housekeeping does a good job and rooms are clean and tidy, entertainment team do a fantastic job. The A/C in this hotel lets it down - it is non existent in the main buffet restaurant to the point that one of our party took a fan in to dinner - not good to be overheating whilst having a meal. The A/C in the rooms isn’t much better it does not drop to the temp set in the control panel and every single night we were there it was switched off for hours leaving the rooms hot and humid - unacceptable!!!!!!!! New sunloungers are required for the beach and pool - these are uncomfortable Our fire alarm went off in the middle of the night which resulted in security and maintenance banging on our door, maintenance ripped the fire alarm off the wall and said it was faulty and would replace it in the morning - it was still lying on the floor 3 days later!!!!!!!! They told us to phone reception if there was a fire - unbelievable!!!!!!! We did raise all of these points with reception and we did move rooms after the first night as our room was stinking of damp and the a/c was not good - 2nd room was better (we viewed 4 rooms before we found a better one) Rui you can do better!!!!!

    Beautiful beaches and plenty of pool chairs!

    Overall the hotel was amazing. The only issues we had was the restocking of the room fridge and difficulty getting into the a la cart restaurants. Overall a great trip!
