Do not stay here
Check-in experience was positive although not acknowledged as a Gold member. Was provided my 'amenity gift' of a chocolate. Wow. Had overpriced room service on first night and tray wasn't collected until I raised it with concierge the next morning. Seriously? Breakfast was ok but both salt and pepper shakers were empty. They were removed but not replaced. Seriously? Brisbane hotels are over and under deliver. Checkout was 'interesting' with both the night manager and training supervisor trying to decide who would check me out. Seriously weird and not professional at all. Stay elsewhere.

Brisbane Pullman on George staff member Rachel the best
I was on a business trip and checked in at the Pullman on George in Brisbane. I was met by Rachel who met us with a smile and then tendered to all my enquiries and needs in a most professional manner. She is an asset to the hotel and deserves recognition.

DISAPPOINTING STAY
This was our first time staying at the Pullman Brisbane, and we chose to book this hotel as we loved the brand Pullman and have always had positive experiences but sadly it will be our last stay at this particular hotel. Apart from the hotel being in a great location, everything else was a below standard. The hotel is very old and is in dire need of a refurb, even before we got into our room it smelt musty. We visited the gym on the first morning which was located in a very small pokey room and it was ridiculously hot, so hot that it made it difficult to work out. From there we headed to breakfast, the cold selection wasn't too bad but the hot looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours which so unacceptable. That afternoon we headed to the Ed Sheeran concert (amazing) and when we got back to our room, it had not been made up leaving us with wet towels. Ring down to reception, fresh towels arrived at 11pm (30 minutes to get towels). And lastly, there was only one lift operating which was a major issue, sometimes waiting 15-20 minutes for the lift. It's disappointing that these hotels charge like they are 5 star but sadly they barely offer you a 3 star service!

Shoutout to Will
I’d like to give a big shoutout to Will, the concierge at the Pullman Hotels & Resorts. I saw him on Sunday and he was incredibly helpful from the moment I approached the desk. He was friendly, professional, and went out of his way to make sure everything I needed was sorted quickly and smoothly. It’s always nice to come across someone who genuinely cares about guests having a great experience. Thanks again, Will—you made my stay so much easier and more enjoyable!

Terrible. Do not stay here
We are platinum members and this has been our worst stay in any Accor. We booked 2 rooms on the executive floor to have lounge access, but there was no lounge (we were not informed). Our “compensation” was one free drink (terrible choices) and some fruit (that we never got as it was delivered to the wrong room)! So much for having a nice area to entertain my parents with canapés & drinks! Issues with rooms: 1. Huge crack in sink 2. No plug in bath, so couldn’t be used 3. Cracked toilet 4. Chipped aged decor Issues with hotel: 1. Two lifts for whole hotel, which is inadequate and then one broke, so enormous delays 2. No nice bar/area to sit in However worst part was the service. Abysmal! Hotel was full and clearly they couldn’t cope. There was nowhere to sit at to have a drink. Despite the hotel being “full”, a significant part of the ”very drab” bar full of ugly plastic chairs was taken over by a wedding. The restaurant staffing was also dreadful. We had to ask repeatedly for our drinks, no one came to ask how or meal was or if we would like another drink. Most of the food was ok, but not to the usual Pullman standard and one dish was inedible. Breakfast was so busy, they advised us not to order from the menu, Hy husband spoke repeatedly to management about the above issues, however none were rectified (other than not paying for the inedible dish). We will NEVER come here again. Should not be called a Pullman!
