Our anniversary weekend getaway
From the moment we arrived, we were treated with courteous staff, and friendly faces. Check in was fast and easy for us, as we were the only ones there. We did see a very big line up the next day, and on Saturday but the staff never lost their composure and worked very fast to get everyone checked in. Our room was well maintained and the amenities were well stocked, with extra towels and lots of milk and tea and coffee. Good pillow selection and the beds were very comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and booked earlier so no problems there. The food was good and the service was good. We had cocktails on the rooftop bar, which were okay, but it was noisy, and we were probably out of our element, but it was okay. The pool looked great, Breakfast was good and had lots of choices as well as a chef to cook you an omelette, coffee was pretty good. We had the car parked for us, which was convenient and they brought it around when we wanted to leave, no problem, it does take a little time, but all in all a good experience. We did have a room facing the street which at times was a bit noisy, but not too bad, it if your a light sleeper I would recommend getting a riverside room. I would recommend this hotel, as we had a really good experience and was very happy with everything

Confused if I was at a Mercure or Pullman
Very ordinary for a Pullman. Shared lobby with Mercure & stay felt more like a Mercure than a Pullman. Rooms are tired & outdated. Needs a major renovation, with air-con upgrade and modernisation of bathrooms. My bathroom had mould on ceilings, and the towels are worn, thin & had holes. No do not disturb signs and poor lighting in room, especially at work desk, with vinyl peeling off chair.

Spacious rooms in great location
Recently stayed at the Pullman at the tail end of the cyclone. Very spacious double queen room for 4. Extremely accommodating staff, restaurant food was good. Buffet breakfast included with stay was plentiful and great variety. Highly recommend

Expensive run down hotel with poor service
Expensive run down hotel with poor service. - Old rooms with panels coming off the walls - Worn out carpet and bathrooms. Vanities and toilet are scratched and stained. - No fan in the bathroom so have to keep the door open for any chance of using the mirror. - Air con unit dripping on the carpet but struggling to keep the room cool - Only one operational lift for months to come. Allow 10 minutes for it. - Breakfast is $42. - Hotel facilities are in the building next door which isn't normally an issue but with only one lift working, it's pretty bad. - Tried addressing some of the issues with the reception staff but the phone rings. - When speaking to staff in person, they are clearly exhausted from all the issues and ultimately can't fix anything. With so many great hotels and apartments in Brisbane, this one isn't worth your money.
