Best family vacation in about a decade.
First of all, I want to thank Gabriel our concierge, for a memorable experience. He made all our arrangements, set up our room service, brought ice and beverages to my room and brought our daughter treats. The variety of swimming options was nice: Beach, swim up to the room pool with private cabana, center pool and slide park. Everyone was really nice, and I felt comfortable leaving my daughter in the kids club. The room service is prompt. First vacation in a long time that if I could, I would have stayed another couple of days, and no one in my family got sick. I would caution anyone who is not stable on their feet to be careful after it rains. The stone they have is very slippery. I will go back.

Dec 2024 pre holiday visit
The hotel is beautiful. The amenities are great. The food was poor. I am gluten free. Unlike Melia resorts in Mexico that I went to in Jan 2024 the menus had very little if any info regarding ingredients to help navigate food sensitivities or allergies. When I asked our waitress at Tori restaurant she said oh you are Gluten Free? We have nothing for you. She then made a scene and i sat with my family but did not eat. I asked our concierge to help connect me to a restaurant manager. He said he would and never did. The food in the buffet was ok. The Circle restaurant was top notch and delicious. The activities at the pool lounge area were very fun. Most of the staff is very good. Just this hotel lacks amenities such as the coffee bars and ice cream stands that exist in Melia resorts in the Cancun area. The pluses were the crafts and activities, the pool bar staff and the spa. The food was on a whole mediocre. None of the fruit was ripe. The entire week all cut cantalope was tasteless and the pears were brick hard. The staff in the main dining hall was not as attentive as in Cancun or as they once were at Paradisus Punta Cana. I am not sure I would go back to Punta Cana but if I did I would stay elsewhere.

Family Concierge is worth it!
This hotel is the most kid friendly one we have ever been to! Not only is there a very well done (included) and organized kids’ club, with structured activities like pizza making, the festivities continue throughout the day and night for families. But truly, what made our experience a 5 star one, was our family concierge gentleman, Gustavo. Yes, it is an upgraded premium feature, but well worth it. (For us bc he was so incredible) Not only did he adhere to our EVERY need and request, he did it with such kindness and genuine concern. He was friendly with us and amazing with our kids. He even surprised them one day with a jacuzzi bubble bath with balloons. It made their trip! He made all our reservations, changed them as need be, arranged beach accommodations, made sure our room Was serviced at the right time, made sure we had what we preferred in our mini bar and that it was restocked daily. And on the last night a large bug came in our room (hotel is surrounded by foliage) and we killed it with our garbage can- he personally came within minutes, to get the garbage can to remedy the situation. He was kind, caring, informed, and immensely hospitable. He made sure at many times throughout the day, that we were taken care of. So if you do choose to stay here and do choose to upgrade to the family concierge, ask for Gustavo. You will not be disappointed. :)

Winery Experience
We had dinner at the Winery and Fransua and Jesus Robles were great! The service was amazing and Fransua was so knowledgeable about all of the wines! We loved the wines so much we even got a bottle sent to our restaurant for dinner tomorrow. We had a fabulous experience and I would definitely recommend.

I recommend this resort
I will most definitely be coming back. Every resort has it up and downs but this was our favorite. We have been to many resorts over the years and this one is in our top 2. We are already planning to bring our kids back with us . The resort felt very safe in my opinion. Number 1 factor we look for before bringing kids . Food options is number 2 for our teenage/ adult kids. Entertainment plus great WiFi is number 3 . I did not care for the way you have to make reservations for the restaurants. We had poor service from steakhouse restaurant. The hibachi restaurant was great in every aspect. The all you can eat restaurant was good as well . The cook to order options were fantastic. I love the fresh juices that they offered. The best part of the stay for me personally. Was the service I received from the guy that came around to restock our bar in the room. 5 stars ⭐️ to him he made us feel welcome everywhere he seen us. The sports bar was cool but could have a much better food menu. The mama Juana bar could use some customer service training. They were not rude but most definitely wasn’t welcoming. The restaurant by the pool had the best bacon cheeseburgers in Punta Cana . The waiter knew us and what we wanted just after one visit 5 ⭐️. We absolutely loved our room with flaws and all . The balcony for me was everything. The bathroom was everything for my wife …. She was amazed. The mattress could be softer. The jacuzzi jets didn’t work. The telephone stopped working in the room . The tub in bathroom faucet was leaking. We loved that the room had a microwave. Overall the room was amazing. The pool was very nice …. Loved the swim up bar. The beach was very nice and the 3 minute ride on golf cart to beach was not bad at all. Overall I rate this resort 9/10
