  Afraid to open the sliding glass door for mold filled breeze

  Large hotel with lots of options but… has a mold problem! Wall outside of sliding glass doors and AC equipment view… area filled with standing water after rain and surrounded by Black Mold!

  It could be so much better.

  While the facility was perfectly fine, it could be so much better. First, there are not enough restaurants to accommodate all the guests in the hotel. We tried to get reservations two days before we needed them and they were all booked. We were hanging out on our patio when housekeeping came, so they left and never returned. The rooms are very dark. There is one light switch by the door, and all the others have to be searched for on the lamps. Even with all the lights turned on, it’s very dark, which is ironic for a hotel that annually hosts a large disability conference with low vision guests. We are not a fan of the class system. All the beach chairs closest to the pool are reserved, leaving everyone else to sit back further. We have found this to be a growing and troublesome trend at all the Marriotts we have visited and it must stop. We visited in January and everything outside closed at 5pm, even the spa closed early. We were in the west towers with a ground floor room overlooking the pool, but there was a fence around it and we could not access it. The water park is an additional expense, but what good is a ground floor pool view when you can’t access the pool from it? We couldn’t find the hairdryer, which was in the closet behind the ironing board (a weird place for it) and in a black bag in a dark room very hard to see. There were no personal toiletries in the rooms either. When I book a Marriott, I have certain expectations and this resort fell short. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful, and huge property, but it could be so much better.

  Outstanding!!!

  Our family of 4 and 2 small grandchildren stayed here last year for the superbowl . The hotel is beautiful , the largest mariott in the world . The pools and Waterpark are top notch ! We had 2 rooms on high floor ,center of building over looking the pool . We saw fireworks every night from our balcony . We love this hotel so much and we are returning again this year to watch the superbowl in the pool . Hopefully the weather will warm up . Cant wait !!

  Poor concern for the customer

  Platinum member. We recently booked a family vacation at this hotel. We had three rooms. Upon checkout, we were told that one room would not receive points because that party left one day earlier than the other two parties in the family. We have brought this to the attention of several Marriott managers on different levels. Marriott refused to offer any solution. I’ve never heard of a rule that covered this in all our years of experience with this brand. There was no attempt to make any exception. I offered to have this room put on my husband‘s Marriott account. After all he and I paid for all the rooms on a shared credit card. Marriott has shown itself to be bureaucratic and lack customer relations concern. More than disappointing!! Others should be aware of this flaw in their policy. Very unfair and unsatisfactory!!

  First time at Marriott World Center

  This hotel is a huge resort. It is beautiful. It has its own waterpark and golf course. My first room was a ground floor beside the Gym/Spa overlooking the parking lot. From 6am to 9am it was very noisy and the same for 7-9pm. It had the smell of dog and a spider walked across my chest. There was no hot water. Housekeeping forgot to do my room and I complained to the housekeeping manager. She apologized and sent a basket of goodies. I complained the next day about the rest of the stuff to the front desk and was immediately upgraded to a 3rd floor beautiful room facing the waterpark and golf course with a wrap around balcony. Amazing. It matters where your room is. The golf course is in great shape. The golf course app is difficult to use so I did everything in person at the pro shop. I was orginally promised golf stuff included in the resort fee but that was cancelled. I show them the screenshots of the offering and they credited my account $50. The same goes for the app for booking shuttles to parks. It's kinda useless, the drivers pay no attnetion to it and the shuttles run all day, just ask a live person for the hours and forget the app. The Marriott people are kind and work hard. The pools and slides are magnificient. Bring the kids. Forget using the hottub though. It is usually full of kids even though there are signs preventing them from using it. It is kinda silly. Staff don't police the situation. Marriott needs to build a second hot tub for adults only and police it. The laser show over the pool is cool. Note the this Marriott charges hefty prices for everything over and above the resort fee and parking fee.
