Great Option Near the French Quarter
I got to stay here for about a month. Staff could have been friendlier, but I was very impressed by Nick at the entrance. So welcoming and professional. Stuart - one of the bellmen - was amazing as well. Such a nice and sincere man! On the not so good note, I think that housekeeping staff could not knock on the guestroom doors if the Privacy sign is present. This is my only criticism. I stayed here a few years ago, but still wanted to post this review. Hopefully Nick and Stuart are still working here.

Fantastic stay!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! Was able to secure an upgraded room as well. The M Lounge was phenomenal! Definitely one of the best (if not the best) I’ve been to at a Marriott property in terms of selection of food and overall food quality. Location is also convenient for walking to Bourbon St. as well as Canal Place shopping center and the Riverwalk Outlets. We also walked to the Superdome. The hotel manager, Mr. Rodriguez, was incredibly kind and helpful. Will definitely book stay at this hotel the next time I’m in NOLA!

Disappointing
Great location but hotel was not what I would typically expect from Marriott. Small beds, small room, dripping tub faucet, vanity mirror was broken and obvious water stains in bathroom door. All was very disappointing and I seriously thought about switching hotels if not for the hassle involved.

good for a marrriott. Great M club for breakfast
A good Marriott level hotel. I was lucky enough to score an excellent corner room in the taller of the two buildings. The best thing was the M club for breakfast. Beignets are amazing. Weaknesses were the elevators. They are the sort where you put your key card next to a spot and the spot tells you what elevator to use. Often, my card didn't work because they were too busy.

The location is the best thing about this place
This place only has two pros: location and the food. It's in a great location. You can walk all over the place from there or take a streetcar right in front of the hotel. The food at the hotel bar was surprisingly good (gluten-free pepperoni pizza). The hotel is outdated, the front desk staff is not very friendly and neither very helpful. The servers at the hotel bar are short staffed. The mattress was kind of hard and I didn't feel like the bed was comfortable at all. The bathroom has a very low ceiling. The shower was ok, not great, not terrible. We also found an empty bottle of rum in our room that belonged to a previous guest. The bottle was under the chair. I wouldn't go back there and I wouldn't recommend.
