Decent rooms, poor room service
If you are going for proximity to French quarter and decent, clean rooms this could be a good option. However, if you are traveling with family and relying on it for good room service and food options - look elsewhere. Their room service ordering app is nothing short of a scam. It barely works half the time. Even after getting an order confirmation, their kitchen sometimes won’t even receive the order. If you call the kitchen they are either confused or will tell you to talk to the front desk. And the front desk is hardly apologetic for the issue - they will tell you that the order is “now in the system and you will receive your food in XX minutes”, in an utterly matter of fact way, after you have waited for over an hour since putting in your original order. If this is the service they give to people with Bonvoy Elite status, who knows what the service looks like for people without status. It doesn’t have much else going for it either - the M Lounge is always overcrowded, the front desk experience is mediocre, the bartender is least interested in serving you, the rooms have subpar sound proofing and you can hear the clattering of hangers from the other rooms next to you or the incessant police sirens and loud engine noise from the road.

Another Great Business Trip to New Orleans
I had another amazing stay at the New Orleans Marriott. 1.) The M Club is the best I have experienced among all other Marriotts. Chef Pinky makes omelets like no other. Ms. Joey always has a welcoming smile at the door. 2.) The front desk staff is professional, respectful, and responsive, especially Jerkyah and Cody. 3.) My upgraded room was clean and comfortable thanks to the housekeeping staff. 4.) I got char-broiled oysters at the bar and was pleasantly surprised and impressed. 5.) The common areas are very secure without feeling over-policed.

Great stay
We enjoyed staying at this hotel so much, wish we had stayed longer. Our corner room was light and had a great view, unfortunately it was a bit loud at night (traffic, party buses, etc.) but that was more the setting than the hotel's fault. The inside noise control was great-- the first night we were there someone was basically having a party in the hallway but as soon as we closed our door we could not hear a thing, the door was well soundproofed! The M Club was one of the best I've been to in the USA, it was clean, well staffed, had an amazing breakfast (connecting to the adjacent restaurant), and nice evening snack/dessert offerings. Even thought the lobby was always loud and chaotic the M Club was peaceful (though well used), and made the stay quite pleasant. The pool area was really great, fun for kids with plenty of space for adults to lounge and chat.

Location, location, new room
Spent the first night in an old room and would not recommend it at all! However, the newly renovated rooms are great - super clean and modern. It helps too that this hotel is ideally located in the French Quarter, making it very easy to get anywhere you are going. Highly recommend the newly renovated rooms!

Great night’s sleep
The Marriott is in a good location close to bourbon street and a 15 minute walk to the convention center making it a good hotel for conferences and conversations. The hotel is under renovation (as of December 2025) and could use some updates. My vote would be for more outlets. My room (upgraded) was great, super comfortable, everything worked, great nights sleep. The staff was friendly and hospitable. The M club was super impressive, great evening dinner (changes daily) and fantastic breakfast (note breakfast is the same as the restaurant). The breakfast options has something for everyone from local flavors to fruit, eggs, cereals, cheeses, etc. A great stay! This is a hotel I’d gladly return to.
