good for a marrriott. Great M club for breakfast
A good Marriott level hotel. I was lucky enough to score an excellent corner room in the taller of the two buildings. The best thing was the M club for breakfast. Beignets are amazing. Weaknesses were the elevators. They are the sort where you put your key card next to a spot and the spot tells you what elevator to use. Often, my card didn't work because they were too busy.

The location is the best thing about this place
This place only has two pros: location and the food. It's in a great location. You can walk all over the place from there or take a streetcar right in front of the hotel. The food at the hotel bar was surprisingly good (gluten-free pepperoni pizza). The hotel is outdated, the front desk staff is not very friendly and neither very helpful. The servers at the hotel bar are short staffed. The mattress was kind of hard and I didn't feel like the bed was comfortable at all. The bathroom has a very low ceiling. The shower was ok, not great, not terrible. We also found an empty bottle of rum in our room that belonged to a previous guest. The bottle was under the chair. I wouldn't go back there and I wouldn't recommend.

Perfect location with great views
We love this hotel!!! We’ve stayed several times and have enjoyed every visit. The location is perfect because of the central location to Bourbon Street, the river for new year’s fireworks and the Mardi Gras parade route. We’ve always had clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is very nice. Valet parking can be hectic because we usually go during some of the busiest times of the year but the guys are always friendly, helpful and as quick as possible. Restaurants within walking distance are unlimited! We took an Uber only once our entire trip and that was only because I was just exhausted from walking all day. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when we return.

Complaint Regarding Unauthorized Funds Reserved During Stay at Marriott New Orleans
Dear Marriott New Orleans Management, I am writing to publicly express my dissatisfaction regarding the financial irregularities experienced during my recent stay at your hotel, which I believe are the result of unauthorized and erroneous handling of my payment details. I must do it publicly, because formally is not possible - no available email to write you, and the official Contact Us center does not work!!! Unauthorized Fund Reservations: Despite the clear payment agreement, the hotel reserved funds from my account multiple times without my authorization: November 11, 2024: $636.20 November 12, 2024: $257.48 November 12, 2024: $60.43 This totals $954.11 of reserved funds, which is significantly higher than the final bill of my stay. I was shocked by these actions, as I provided my VISA card solely as a guarantee at the time of booking, trusting in the professionalism of the Marriott brand. The repeated reservations caused unnecessary stress and financial inconvenience during my stay. The (smaller) part of the reserved funds is realised, but you still owe me $317.91 back to my account, 5 days after the check-out. I expect this issue to be resolved promptly, reflecting the high standards associated with the Marriott brand. I also informed the bank about the abuse of the card by the hotel, so that they can also initiate a legal procedure for the refund of the funds. A card that is a guarantee of payment is not a card that may be misused without the consent of the owner and in an amount that far exceeds the price of the service.

New Age Elevators
I stayed here with coworkers for a conference. When we booked the conference, we weren’t aware that Taylor Swift was also in town doing three concerts. Imagine our surprise when we got to NO and saw all the Swifties. However, you never would have known that there were that many more people staying at the Marriott. Our rooms were ready when we arrived, which made it easy to start sightseeing. There weren’t any crowds in the lobby and the elevators did a great job of controlling the floors they stopped on using AI. The only time we had trouble getting an elevator was when the conference let out and everyone was trying to get back to their rooms. The hotel is in a great location, just steps from the French Quarter and definitely one to consider when staying in NO. However, it would be helpful if the front desk would tell you how to use the elevator when you check in. We had no clue and a guest had to show us what to do.
