Beautiful spacious room
We stayed here about 5 years ago and thought it was great. It still is! We stayed in a one bedroom Villa which had to separate bathrooms. One had a huge bath tub and the other had a toilet and a shower. It’s nice because my husband had our own space to get ready. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The full kitchen has dishes and everything you need to cook or just have coffee. There is also a washer & dryer. The view was lovely and the property is quiet and well maintained. I definitely recommend this hotel!

Disappointing Anniversary Stay — Villa Misrepresentation and Serious Pest Issue do not recommend.
I recently stayed at Marriott’s Desert Springs Villas in Palm Desert, CA for our wedding anniversary weekend, and I left feeling extremely disappointed, frustrated, and frankly disturbed by the entire experience. Before our stay, I called ahead to request a ground floor villa. Upon arrival, nothing had been arranged. While the staff eventually placed us in a unit, it was located outside the main resort, meaning we had to drive in and out every time we wanted to access the amenities — which was inconvenient and made it difficult to enjoy what the property had to offer. We had booked a two-bedroom villa but were surprised to find ourselves in a much smaller unit that lacked a private bedroom, a separate dining or living room, and basic villa features like a washer/dryer, standard refrigerator, stove, or oven. While we later realized these features were available in the larger villa (which we had no access to for our stay), it was misleading to present this smaller unit as a full villa. Unfortunately, the worst part of the stay was a serious pest issue. We discovered worms inside our villa. My husband has a phobia of worms, and on Saturday night, he woke up to one crawling on his leg. When he screamed, I jumped out of bed and stepped directly on another worm. We spent the rest of the night trying to kill and clean them up, completely stressed. On Sunday morning, I had to vacuum the villa twice, and right after finishing the second time, I sat down on the sofa for only a few minutes. As I stood up to use the restroom, I suddenly felt something inside my shorts — I pulled them down and a worm came flying out. My husband, who was in the bathroom washing his face, screamed when he saw it land on my feet, and I panicked as well. This was an extremely upsetting and uncomfortable experience, especially during what was meant to be a celebratory and relaxing trip. When we contacted the front desk, the manager apologized but could not provide any explanation. He offered 50% off that one night, which we felt was completely inadequate. We ended up cutting our stay short. No one offered to move us, provide a full refund, or even offer a future complimentary stay to make up for the experience. Our anniversary weekend was ruined, and I cannot recommend this resort. This experience did not meet Marriott’s standards of comfort or cleanliness, and I truly hope management takes steps to address both the pest control issue and their guest response policies.

Nice Marriott Resort
Located in Palm Desert 1 and 2 are next to each other and use the same reception and market place etc. We stayed at 1 which is a smaller area than 2 but both are centered around the golf course and close to the JW Marriott Hotel. A shuttle bus runs up to 9pm around the site if you need it to move around, but it is easy to walk if you want to. The units only have two floors and all have easy parking outside, some covered and some open air. Given the temperatures, getting a covered one is a good idea if available. The units are massive, we stayed in a one bed, which could easily house 4 people, using the sofa bed. The sunken lounger area has a big sofa bed and sofa and reclining chair, so plenty of room. The dining table seat six and the kitchen is a good size. As usual there is a dishwasher, washer, drying and all the usual things you need. Strangely, given all the space they designed a cutlery drawer that you can only open half way as it hits the oven which is a bit odd. The bedroom and bathroom are also large but again given all the space, odd that the toilet was right behind the door and awkward. The balcony has a table and chairs and a single sun lounger. For the 5 nights we stayed there was zero housekeeping service, no beds made, no bins emptied, nothing, not good. There are many pools around the resort and you can use any of them, 1 or 2, all had space at any time we went, but they do get busier at weekends and at peak times, but there was always space. The only food outlet is located at the main pool, but they do deliver to other locations if you can get the app to work. The main gripe I have is the opening times, they close at 6pm which is way too early, after that the only option is to go off site. The whole place is very well looked after and the gardens are very nice. The JW is close by and you can go for bars and meals and just walk back in about 10 mins if the bus has ended. Anything else is a drive away.

Great Hotel and Service
Fantastic service and lovely property. Jose H signed us in and was helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. We appreciated the great front desk service. Our room in V building was large, with two queen size beds and several kitchen amenities. There was a huge bathtub in the room - really fantastic. The pool was open late and there are 4 hot tubs!! Wonderful experience; will definitely return.
