10 out of 5 experience all around
My stay was for about three weeks in February. There is not one person working here that isn't willing to help, or that doesn't have a friendly approach towards their guests. From checkin to checkout and even after. The people working at the reception all speak proper English, and often other languages. Every single one of them receive you with a friendly attitude. Upon entry I was welcomed with a free drink and they had my bagage delivered to the room by default. Extensions of my stay were always handled without any issue. Even when the hotel was booked full, they managed to fix something and had me stay in the same room, as requested. They accepted cash and creditcard (I haven't had to try any other payment options) The food they serve is of good quality and has a wide variety in options. At breakfast there's a lot of sweets for those that like it, but also plenty of healthy options. You can dine inside or enjoy your food in an open area outside. The workers in the restaurant don't always speak English in a way that you can hold a conversation, but they all control the basics at least. They will be able to understand, and they're always on the move to keep the place clean. My room had all the basics one could need. The room itself and the beds were cleaned daily. They do a daily round by your door to ask if you want some extra towels, minibar refill, or simply to hand you some chocolates. If you're sleeping in the morning, they will come and clean it in the afternoon. At all times they will respect the 'do not disturb' sign if it's on your door. Issues can always happen in a complex as big as Anthelia is, but they were all fixed almost instantly, at all times. When I had some water leaking underneath the shower door past 23.00 they had someone mop the floor immediately and bring fresh towels as soon as I notified reception. No attitude, just service. When they notice a defect in your room during cleaning, they will proactively get maintenance to get it fixed. Another time I thought my airconditioning was broken as the controls did not work at all. They had 2 maintenance guys showing up to fix it right away. Again after 22.00. It turned out the controls to the airconditioning don't work when the doors of your balcony are open. That was a quick fix and a good laugh. Again, no attitude from either of them - just service with a smile. The TV comes with international networks: Spanish, French, English, German and Dutch from what I've seen. The TV also comes with a chromecast by default for some personal entertainment of your own choice. The live entertainment outside I'm usually not a big fan of, but from the balcony I could enjoy them trying to hype up people quite a few times. The room is very well sound isolated when you close the balcony door, so the sound really shouldn't bother you if it's not your thing. On every hallway there's free filtered water. There's a gym in the complex that's freely accessible 24/7 and is equipped with quite a lot of options actually. Not just the typical threadmill and bicycle, but also for weightlifting far beyond a few dumbells. Laundry service is completed within 24h. The only improvement I could suggest is to lower the prices on laundry for socks/underwear. It's cheaper to buy new ones than to have them washed. All in all I have my own home now on Tenerife, but if I ever need a hotel again it will surely be Iberostar Anthelia! Thank you for the good time.

Lovely stay
We have just returned from a lovely week at this hotel. We upgraded to all inclusive on arrival which saved a fair amount. Only issue being that you have to pay extra for the à la carte restaurants and some snacks around the pool. They didn’t tell us this at check in. The hotel is a little dated in places. It is super clean though and the staff are so helpful and friendly. Miriam and the pool bar staff are exceptional. The main restaurant gets a little tedious and sometimes really busy which means the terrace gets full. The food is very good and lots of choice. The sushi was exceptional. The location of this hotel is excellent, you can walk into Costa Adeje within a minute or the lovely La Caleta within a few minutes (turn right out of the back of the hotel gate). Lots of shopping centres about aswell. I have given this hotel a 4 star due to the lack of option for all inclusive. Also if you like early nights or have kids you may need to check where your room is, ours overlooked the lobby bar and you can hear the singers very loudly in your room ( a few were not that great). Overall super clean, lovely staff and great location.

Good option with a baby for a luxury stay
Great family hotel. Staff extremely friendly and engaged daily with our 1 year old. Good selection of pools, although I researched heavily how well the pools are heated and really only one is noticeably heated, the rest are ok but a tad chilly for a baby so I’d suggest bringing a fleece lined swimsuit of some kind if you’re going in Feb. Having said that our one year old still preferred the main pool that had shallow ends so she could walk around herself rather than the deep warmer pool. The spa warm indoor pool is not open for babies which was a little disappointing as we had booked a slot for one of the cooler days. They said they allow them in on Mondays (which I didn’t see any information on in the app) so if the weather isn’t great, there is no pool options for babies. If they opened it up for kids during one slot each day it would be nice. The spa treatments were very good, nails and massage. Main bar entertainment is definitely on the cheesy end and geared toward the older folk. Cocktails are great though. I would suggest if you want a little partying, to head outside of the hotel where there are lots of bars, karaoke etc. This hotel is quite refined so not much dancing or sing songs. I found the kids entertainment never worked out for us as it clashed with naps but we did hang out in the kids club where there is an area with fake grass and an indoor area for them to play which was pretty nice. The timing of the kids shows didn’t make sense to me in particular. I passed by hearing “heads, shoulders, knees and toes” playing and it was close to 9pm. Very few kids in there and the ones that were, looked like they needed their beds! Overall fab looking hotel, the view from the room was stunning. Very well maintained, clean. Very good accessibility for strollers. All inclusive upgrade was worth it. Buffet got a little monotonous after a week as you would expect but still was very good. They changed it up every couple of nights. There was an Asian night which was a nice change. Mini bar in the room had a couple beers and small bottle of cava, perfect for a tipple in the evening on the balcony. I really like the security of the place. Need room cards to get in from the reception and through the access to the beach and kids club. I would consider it a nice 5 star option. Not super modern or new but classic and well cared for.
