I would stay again
We stayed here a night before a cruise. The hotel is ok. Nice benefits for platinum and above. The breakfast buffet was ok and had enough choices (included as a platinum). The Mclub had Pepsi products, water and coffee machine available 24 hours. I would stay here again. Only negative is there is noise from the highway nearby or airport.

Decent hotel in a sketchy neighborhood
My husband and I attended a convention that was held here. We stayed in a double queen room on the 3rd floor since the hotel had no more king rooms available. The room itself was OK. The ice machine on that floor was not working, so we had to go to other floors to get ice. The small refrigerator froze our water and drinks overnight, and there didn't seem to be a way to change the setting. The beds were not comfortable at all. The mattresses were very old and lumpy. The room did have good lighting. As others have mentioned, even with the A/C turned all the way down, the room never really was cool, so we did keep the curtains closed. The bathtub drained extremely slow, so my husband put in a call to maintenance. No one ever came to fix it, so I managed to pull a huge hair clog out of the tub drain which remedied that problem. The staff all seemed nice, but the housekeepers and bartenders barely spoke any English. The surrounding neighborhood is not good. The hotel has a gated lot, but the access is not really controlled. One of the other convention attendees had their car broken into and luggage stolen while it was in the parking lot. Fortunately we did not have any problems with that.

Not impressive
typical Marriott property. Service was sub-par. It was not impressive, nothing special or made you feel welcome. Service is pretty much the same you receive at Fairfield Inn or Home2 Suites. They just get your credit card and hand you the key, you are on your own.

Nice stay!
Lonnie made our trip unforgettable! From the moment we arrived, his warm welcome set the tone for a truly special stay. He went above and beyond by upgrading our room for our special occasion and even surprised us with a thoughtful treat waiting for us. It was such a meaningful gesture that made us feel celebrated and appreciated. What a beautiful way to kick off another year of life—thank you, Lonnie, for your kindness and exceptional hospitality. We’ll never forget it! We also really appreciated that the M Lounge was open 24/7 for coffee—such a nice touch that made our stay even more comfortable. The rooms are refreshed and modern, adding to the overall relaxing and elevated experience. The complimentary shuttle service is a great perk—just be patient as timing can vary a bit.

Worst experience of my life.
I’ve been staying in marriotts all over the country since i was a child, it’s always been a preference for my family and i. i’ve experienced a variety of great service from almost every single one i stayed in, however, i had the worst experience with the manager Charles Watts. I came to this location with my family because my sister had a test and this location was hosting it. I arrived at 7:30 and headed to the buffet where i planned on having breakfast while waiting for my sister, i got my food and sat down and the waitress comes by and says “three meals, got it” we stopped her and told her it was just going to be me eating today and she said she had to charge us for three people because my little sister took a peice of fruit of my plate before heading to her test, she insisted we would still have to pay for three plates. I politely asked her if i could speak with a manager to see if this was accurate. Charles Watts, the general manager of this establishment came over and confirmed we would have to pay for three people. After about one minute of trying to understand why we would have to pay that much, Charles Watts said we would only have to pay for two, still not satisfied i asked “so we have to pay $18 for one peice of fruit?”(its 18 per person) and he said yes. My mother just agreed to pay for it because this man was visibly getting upset with us for asking these questions. She told him she would take my sister to her test which is in the conference room and come back and pay, he insisted she pay right then and there even tho my sister was about to be late because of this whole situation. Eventually Charles Watts kicked my family out of the restaurant and still tried to make us pay. We left completely without even getting my sister to her test. As a loyal Marriott guest, i am utterly shocked and disappointed by the lack of professionalism and composure that Charles Watts has shown today. Thank you
